Why are serious new members being penalized for contributing?

I joined BHW recently with the intention to actually build something real - not leech, not spam, but grow a solid affiliate-driven business in the gaming niche.

I wrote a genuine introduction post - no links, no spammy phrases, no “PM me”, no copy-paste. Just a normal intro explaining who I am, what I do, and what I’m hoping to contribute and learn from the forum.

And what do I get? A warning for “post count inflation”.

Seriously?

How are we supposed to invest in Marketplace threads or become real contributors if even a basic intro gets flagged as a violation?

Feels like trying to build a business here is punished more than encouraged. I’ve seen one-line replies everywhere that say “interested” or “sample please” — those seem fine. But someone writing a thoughtful post? Slapped with a warning.

I was planning to upgrade, spend money on ads and listings here, maybe even bring some traffic your way — but now I’m not so sure.

Am I alone in this or has anyone else faced the same?

No hate - just genuinely confused what kind of content is actually welcome here in 2025.

The reason being that this constitutes mod / staff abuse. I would advise you re-read or just read the rules as that's two you've tripped over and you've only been here for 5 minutes. Normally you would be warned for this post but I'm choosing not to as a guide to you and others.
