AOL emails generally last longer with fewer SMS issues than Gmail, especially for IMAP use. Yes, you can use a firstmail or AOL address as a forwarding setup to avoid Gmail's frequent re-verification.
Thank you for the reply, would you say Gmail forwarded to firstmail and using firstmail IMAP would be the equivalent of aol IMAP? For me it’s way easier to get aged accounts with Gmail native than AOL native. He just really hates gmails.

Do you wait until you can add 2fa to sell the accounts instead of relying on emails? If that’s the case I would imagine I need to keep thousands of browsers saved until they let me add 2fa.
Yes I create them manually and add a backup email on all the Gmails if the code is needed instead of a phone number
