I have an aged x account with 1k followers. The niche is nsfw stuff. I'm thinking of adding a link in my bio to a subscription site.

Any downside in doing this? Would it be better to link to another social media, or adding an "@" without actually linking anything?

Well you do need to make the sale somewhere. all depends if you're doing something long term, building an audience or just some random aff link

For aged account it's fairly safe but there are still downsides, yeah. Twitter is, at least nowadays and supposedly, more lenient with adult content so not too many issues there. Linking off platform is gonna be tricky though, regardless. Could use linktree or similar services, or a custom domain if you have it. (Not sure if URL shorteners work that well these days or which ones are or aren't flagged).
Not too sure if that @ thing would work out though.

Dropping a NSFW links in your bio can hurt your reach or even trigger visibility limits

Better to use custom domains these days, generic domains from link in bios aren't safe anymore for this niche

Okay sooo.... I'm bumping this one as I still haven't taken action on how to monetize, but my new post just blew up. It made 200k impressions and got replies by a couple famous accounts from my country's X niche.

I'm undecided on what to do now. On one hand I feel like starting to spam affiliate links will make my impressions pitfall (few reasons, like nsfw links being restrictions prone or followers losing interest), but I'm 90% sure this kind of profile (and number of impressions) won't be sustainable in the long run. Part of me is telling me to take profit somehow.

Maybe I should use it to boost new profiles of mine and trying to cash out through those?

Any suggestion much appreciated:)

Always cloak links. Avoid posting direct links. X is merciless when it comes to affiliate links. They will shadowban you.

Honestly, affiliate link in bio is safest. Just cloak. I would take action and monetize. You need experience to learn what works & doesn't.
