I'm in NYC right now, moved here from San Francisco, there from Silicon Valley, there from Charlotte... all in two years. I prefer moving around and seeing the world personally rather than settling in one spot. That's one of the best parts about working online IMO.

Ya, I go to school at MSU. I'm from Muskegon though. We have a pretty good beach, not gonna lie.

Depends on your wants and needs.. I've had a great run in miami beach but I need more space... like a bigger house and some land (I have a family and in my opinion miami beach isn't really the place for a young family)... going to georgia... but as an IMer you can pretty much go anywhere.

I think you're being a bit naive on this one, no offense.
I live in Michigan and I've been to states such as California and Florida and yes there is alot of beautiful places/stuff to do. But I've been to places such as New York City, Northern Michigan, Colorado, Arizona, North Carolina, and Texas.
Most of them are just as beautiful and have just as much stuff to do than California and Florida. I'm not trying to bash you but in fact trying to help you out. The places I mentioned above are beautiful in there own each invidiual way and you would just hurt yourself if you never visit/live in these places simply because it's not California or Florida.
+ What are you going to do when all the ice caps melt?

I hear ya Chronos. But to be honest I have visited/lived most all of the places you mention and have visited many places in the US. What it comes down to is I just love the water, warm weather, and scantily clad women. You get that all year round in FLA and CA.
Texas is ok but a lil too "red" for my taste. Michigan has some beautiful spots that I can come visit. NYC/Michigan/Northeast are definitely nice also but I just hate the cold weather. Cold gray and rainy is no way to go through 50% of life IMO. I do realize that some people are into the winter sports though, and I cant get into any of that.
Everyone is different tho, its just what makes you happy in life I guess. Beautiful beaches, sunshine, and warm weather almost all year round is what makes me smile almost every day. I like to call it "permanent vacation"
