Which tool gives you the most accurate backlink data right now?

Ahrefs, SEMRush, Moz, Majestic... everyone’s got their favourite. Personally, I lean on Ahrefs for volume but cross-check it with other tools before making decisions. No tool is perfect, but some are more reliable than others. Which one do you trust the most for backlink analysis?

I switch between Ahrefs and Majestic depending on what I’m looking for. Ahrefs is my go to for overall backlink insights and anchor text profiles and Majestic’s Trust Flow and Historical Index give extra context, especially for older domains.

I check all my clients stats on Ahrefs, but honestly, when I compare the same stats on other tools, the numbers are often very different from what I see in Ahrefs. Each tool uses its own algorithms, so no single one is 100% accurate, and naturally, there will always be differences between them.

I’ve found Ahrefs pretty solid for backlink depth and fresh data, but sometimes SEMrush gives better context on toxic links and anchor distribution. Moz is decent for quick checks, but I mostly use it for DA/PA reference. Haven’t used Majestic much lately though
