I run a successful digital business in Asia and am currently exploring expansion into Brazil. While researching payment gateways, I’ve encountered difficulties in finding providers that support PIX payments for international businesses.


Many platforms seem to have restrictions on receiving BRL (Brazilian Real) or integrating PIX for businesses registered outside Brazil. I tried looking into Airwallex, but it seems to require registering a business in another country—which is a headache to set up and maintain.


Given the importance of PIX in Brazil’s payment ecosystem, this presents a major challenge. Has anyone successfully bypassed this issue or found reliable alternatives for processing payments from Brazilian customers? Any insights on workarounds, recommended payment gateways, or business registration strategies would be greatly appreciated.

I ran into the same issue while expanding into Brazil. PIX is essential there, but most gateways either block international businesses or require setting up a local company. I looked into Airwallex too, but it came with too much overhead.

After trying different options, I finally found a setup that works. I can now accept PIX payments and receive BRL without needing a Brazilian entity. It made a big difference for my business.

PIX for Brazil its like Quasi Mercado Pago for Argentina, seems not very hard to find reliable solution with good MDR
