Hey,

Ahrefs recently released an update where you can now see what AI platforms are mentioning you in their answers.

Right now, I am sitting at 69 appearances with 21 pages. Is there a way to boost it? My client is seeing clicks and acquisitions from chatgpt in analytics so he wants me double down on this.

Any leads will be highly appreicated.

Thanks

Track which content is working and create more of that content.

I recommend adding schema markup to every page on your website. I suspect that large language models like GPT are parsing and utilizing this structured data. For example, on my own site, we see about three daily visitors originating from ChatGPT, despite not running any ads on GPT platforms.

I call that the sit around and wait method. I think the web is too dynamic for that now personally.

That’s a solid start, honestly. To boost it, I’d double down on clear, question-focused content things AI loves to quote. Also helps if other trusted sites reference your pages. Are most of your mentions coming from guides, FAQs, or something else?

Imagine you go from 3 visits a day with your method. And I come along and bump that to 10-20 a day. How long do you think you'll have that client?

Try updating your Schema with FAQS, Reviews, blog schema, etc. It helps the AI bots to find the keywords faster. Use the PAA section form SERP related to the product / service you do to utilize them in FAQs. Apart form this, add Q&A inside your blog content with proper answer. These are primary and basic updates where AI can easily find your site.

Create quality, relevant content: Provide detailed information or guides on how ChatGPT or AI platforms can help in your industry. This could include articles on how to use AI in marketing, SEO, customer service, etc.
Target AI keywords: Find keywords like “AI”, “ChatGPT”, “using ChatGPT in SEO”, or “AI tools for marketing” and optimize your content around these keywords. Ahrefs can help you identify keywords that you are missing or under-exploiting.

That's great progress! To boost mentions in ChatGPT, Focus on publishing helpful content get backlinks from trusted sites, and target niche questions. keep your content updated and credible -chatgpt favors reliable sources.

That’s actually super interesting, and kind of wild that we can track this now.
If you’re already showing up, that means your content is semantically relevant and likely well-structured. To boost it, I’d lean hard into question-style headings (like FAQs), clear answers, and niche topics. AI tends to favor concise, structured content with authority signals.

Hey, that’s a great start! To boost it further, focus on creating clear, helpful answers to common questions, earning backlinks from high-authority sites, and structuring your content with FAQs, how-tos, and well-organized headings. This makes it easier for AI platforms to find and reference your content.
