Friends, bloggers, publishers, marketers, we are all in the same boat. Google takes our content and serves it up in its AI Overview, clicks have now become a true mirage. In the countries where AI Mode was released there is a real bloodbath.

Just here to tell you, you're not alone.

I understand the pain.
But keep in mind in perspective on marketer mindset just you are killing your own potentiality focusing on lacks.
Despite having all difficulties focus on your potentials and alternatives-
=> Alternative traffic source: Parasite SEO and so on.
=> GSEO for generating more traffic apart from SEO
=> Alternative marketing strategy: PPC, Influencer and so on.

You have to have your winning mindset for your winning, nothing else. Where you FOCUS it EXPANDS.

Happy marketing

And my expectations are not good, this kind of click issue for your own websites will only get worse over the next few years, at least if you continue insisting in this classic model that worked great in the past

Totally feel you on this. Traffic drops are real, and it’s getting harder to compete. Good to know we’re all in this together.

Google is a pain in the ass. After I fail to rank even a zero KD keyword with good contents, links, I just gave up lol.

Yep, it's brutal out there. The move now is to build brand > chase traffic. Focus on email lists, push notifications, and community stuff Google can't steal. Also, create content AI can’t summarize: opinions, data, tools, experiences. Adapt or fade.

Google is increasingly prioritizing the display of answers right on the SERP, causing a significant decrease in organic traffic, especially for websites that provide basic information like mine. But I believe this is not the end but the motivation for us to innovate the way we work. Keep up the good work, guys

People still spend time on reading in detail found AI overview always link the source which is a great way to increase traffic

You type in a question and google AI gives you the answer at the top spot in the serps. But when I have a discussion with gemini on that same topic, gemini gives me a very different answer , also answer is not the same as the asnwer from google AI mode in the serps I wonder ? What's google strategy behind all this ? To make us more dumb?

Happy Friday !

You’re not alone—it’s a widespread issue. To counter it, double down on truly unique insights or data that Google’s AI can’t replicate, and build direct channels (email, social) so you’re not fully reliant on search clicks.

Survive by creating unique, non summarizable content like personal stories or interactive tools, and build email lists for direct traffic

How make your content so unique that is it not possible that an AI can summarize it ? He......?

This really hits hart. I’ve seen a massive drop in traffic since AI Overviews started rolling out in my region. What hurts more is not just the traffic loss it’s the fact that our carefully crafted content is being summarized and served without credit or clicks.

I’ve started focusing more on Pinterest, email lists, and even exploring niche-specific forums to diversify my traffic sources. Google’s landscape is changing fast, and maybe it’s time we, as publishers, start treating it like just one piece of the puzzle instead of the whole game.

Appreciate you bringing this up solidarity matters now more than ever.

But google not doing this; summarize content from their "friends" (wef circle) the big media newspaper sites? I bet....
Cloudflare now has a new free feature that stops many AI bots scraping your site here is their blog post:
https://blog.cloudflare.com/declari...ts-scrapers-and-crawlers-with-a-single-click/

Cool, but it not looks like it stops the AI mode bot formn scraping your site, whats your experience with this new CF feature?

Happy Weekend !

I would stay the same:
- Create original, experience-based content AI can’t replicate.
- Also you can try Diversify traffic – don’t rely only on Google.
- Adapt fast, and stay valuable

So, what can be done now? What is your advice about this?
Many people here have given alternative suggestions. After reviewing them, the good solutions I found are - Email listing, share on socials, Parasite SEO, Paid ads, and so on.

When Google and other search engines integrate AI into their search engines (like Google AI, Bard, or ChatGPT), they end up taking the original content from websites and “summarizing” or “recreating” it as an AI Summary. This reduces the likelihood of users clicking on the actual links and instead gets the information right on the search results page.

Guys can you stop Google AI copy and summarize your website content, is there a way ?
Curious, when I use gemini, copilot and ass them to scrape/read website content form url (to rewrite that story) then I get the answer; The LLM AI model is not able to access websites via url blablabla....but it can steal my website content and can summarize it...?
Nothing is like it seems to be on prison planet earth ! Hallelujah !

These AI's are spies too, not mention your political opinion to them !
