I’m Bhava Priyan from India, currently in my pre-final year of college.

To be honest, I don’t really enjoy college life or the traditional system, but I’m doing it for my family and the expectation of getting a degree. Initially, my only goal was to land a job in an IT company and leave college with an offer in hand. I even started learning frontend development seriously with that goal in mind.

Along the way, I got a chance to work as a freelance editor and earned $500 from a very simple editing gig. It was good money, but I realized editing wasn’t something I truly enjoyed, so I didn’t pursue it further.

Since then, I’ve been actively searching for freelance opportunities to earn some pocket money without having to ask my parents. I sit at my computer every day, constantly looking for ways to make money. I even tried affiliate marketing, but it didn’t work out and I gave up on it after some time.

Now, two years have passed. I’m still in college while most of my classmates are now starting to explore things like data science or programming. Ironically, I was the first one in my class to dive into learning new skills and trying out ways to earn online. But my interests kept shifting — I didn’t enjoy those skills either.

Deep down, my real goal is to build a startup and become a serial entrepreneur. That’s what excites me the most.

Recently, I saw one of my seniors (now an entrepreneur running an ed-tech company) give a speech. He mastered full-stack development, got placed at Google, and then left the job to build his own company. That speech really shook me and made me question everything.

Right now, I’m experimenting with creating AI-based content for platforms like OnlyFans just to see if I can earn from that too. But lately, I’ve started doubting myself — wondering if I’ll just end up being someone who tried everything and mastered nothing.

I know some of you here are way ahead in life and experience, so I’m asking for genuine advice:

What skill should I learn that aligns with my dream of building a brand and becoming a serial entrepreneur?

How can I stay consistent when my interests keep shifting?

What are the habits I should develop to overcome my extreme introversion and become a better public speaker and communicator?

Any kind of guidance would mean a lot to me. I’ll remember your advice and names in the future, and I truly hope one day I can come back here and share my success story — just like the seniors I look up to now.

I think that to be a serial entrepreneur, you already need to know how to bring a project or business to fruition, make sure that everything is running smoothly and then move on to a second project and so on.

Just running a single project isn't easy enough, so just imagine the challenge of running several projects, especially if you don't have enough experience or resources.

The risk when you try to do a lot of things at once is that you end up doing nothing.

How can I stay consistent when my interests keep shifting?

It’s possible your interests keep shifting because you’re constantly seeing others already deep into something and that pressure makes you jump quickly when results don’t come fast.

You're probably getting distracted by what others are doing, which makes you want to try everything so you don't feel left behind

I could give you one piece of advice... it would be to start focusing more on yourself and then moving forward at your own pace with whatever you plan to do next.

Trying new things isn’t your problem, quitting too soon is. Good thing, you’ve already got the self-awareness. Pick one skill that aligns with your long-term vision and stick with it. You don’t need to stop exploring completely. Just treat everything else as your side quests not your main mission. The real growth happens when you learn to stay committed especially when it gets boring or hard.

You can't know if you enjoy something by working on it just once. Do a 6 months challenge, pick one thing that you think is for you and keep doing it, nothing else.
If you keep straying from one thing to the other just by looking at others you'll not be able to develop any skills.

Honestly a job should be your priority currently. Need capital. And in your free time you can work on projects.

I don't know where she heard a saying like this. It makes me think a lot. When you see a successful person telling their story and the path they have gone through, you realize that you are looking up at them and wishing that only when you are successful will you have the right to say that everything you have gone through is worth it. But right now, you have nothing in your hands. The best way is to focus on one thing. You have interest so that you can continue even when you feel bored. Then remember the first time and what your goal was to get the motivation to continue striving for that goal.
