Managing nsfw account?

After 2 years i am back on Twitter(X).
I used my personal old account which is 14 years old. I bought a blue tag. There was definitely no shadowban.

Since Twitter doesn't punish adult content anymore, I started testing it:
1 - I enabled the "Mark media you post as having material that may be sensitive" tag just like 2 years ago!
2 - When posting tweets I did NOT mark them as "nudity" or "sensitive".

I posted tweets as follows for testing:
1 - a tweet with adult keys (like boobs) and an adult image/video
2 - a tweet with adult #TAGS and an adult image/video
3 - tweets without keys and tags, with a shortlink and an adult image/video

As a result I started getting views and clicks on the link. But very soon I noticed that the reach had significantly decreased. The account was definitely shadowbanned.
Where did I go wrong? I believe that using adult tags leads to a ban.

Yeah its probably the tags and words that must have been flagged. Or maybe the number of times you posted in a span of time.

All adult posts have been deleted. All adult images as well. All comments under adult tweets — gone too.

I changed my password 20 hours ago — in the past, this used to help lift the shadowban faster.
Just now, I’ve started warming up the account again by using the feed: liking and following (just a little).
And finally, a red flag notification has appeared. That means I can now file an appeal against the restrictions. Let’s see what happens.

It seems that even when you properly use all the "sensitive" tags and operate within the "allowed" adult section, you still have to be careful and avoid using adult-related keywords.

This happened to me too, in my case i didn't have premium so I had to log off for weeks till the label for removed, at first I was unable to tweet using adult hashtags or words, but after around 1 week of consistent reposting and liking, with some tweets of the same innuendo, I was able to use hashtags and get impressions.

At this moment I'm stuck at the part where I wanna post nudity, but the tweets always get filtered out, which means really low visibility.

If you get to post nudity as well, please update the post, with you experience, because I'm struggling lots with this part.

Twitter/X is pretty relaxed with adult content now but using certain adult keywords or hashtags can still trigger automatic filters. Even with “sensitive content” settings enabled, adult tags and links sometimes flag an account. Best to avoid adult hashtags and keep wording neutral to stay under the radar.

Yeah, using certain hashtags or keywords can still trigger filters, even if Twitter allows adult content now. Sometimes it’s not the content itself but how it’s flagged by the system. You could try posting more neutral at first, build some engagement, then slowly test what works.

I continue testing adult content. Use accounts without premium.

The goal: is to promote accounts using only tweets. Promotion using mass commenting - not considering it now.

It seems that using adult keys and tags is an impossible task for weak accounts.

Previously, i could place keywords in the account name and it worked. Now it almost does not work (on my accounts... on other profiles that (are older and larger) - it still works).

This complicates the task.
Using media + adult key in 99% of cases hides the tweet. But separately - visibility remains.

New accounts can't use hashtags. You have to age them properly first and warm up. Even then, the spam algorithm goes far deeper. If you post in a spammy manner, Twitter will shadowban it.

Figuring out Twitter's ever-changing algorithm takes time and dedication. Once they marked one of your posts as spammy, your account & IP in general get affected, making the algorithm difficult & time intensive to figure out by trial & error.

Use clear tweet copy (“Warning: NSFW content ahead”) so you’re giving Twitter’s safety layers exactly what they expect, rather than trying to trick them. Once you do that, your content won’t be hidden behind the scenes, and you’ll see your impressions climb back up.

Twitter just bans your posts from recommendations if you turn on "mark media you post as sensitive" as far as I know, otherwise I would still be using my permanently marked account with 250k followers. Now I cant even reach all of my followers lol
And why did you get that red flag appeal thing such a long time after you got "shadowbanned"?
How can I make that red flag notification appear on my own account? I never received one when my account got marked as sensitive

I believe shadowban and labels are completely different.

The first one is always silent, and you will only notice by the impression amount in a tweet.

And the second one, usually comes after getting locked out of your account, you will also notice that the number of followed account is 0. And after a few minutes the label will show up, and you can appeal it if you have premium.

Maybe it just went away, it disappears on it's own without any further action after a month or so.

I have never experienced the same issue you have, where apparently Twitter forces your account into a permanent state of "sensitive content". So I can't really say much about that

u clocked it right adult tags are the tripwire now, not the content. x don’t ban for NSFW media if ur marked but once u drop high risk keywords or hashtags the algo might bite. shortlinks also trigger spam score if paired with already abused domain. for eg - tinyurl. u did too much too soon it might be better if warm up slowly
