Hey everyone,

I’ve been leaving reviews on Google My Business (GMB) recently, but I’ve run into an issue the reviews are not showing up publicly. I’ve tried using different IPs with NordVPN, and even changed accounts, but still the reviews don’t go live (even after waiting a day or two).

I’m aware Google filters out suspicious activity, but I’m curious:
Is there something else I should be doing to avoid the filter?
Could the VPN provider or type of IP (residential vs datacenter) be affecting this?
Has anyone here successfully posted reviews recently and seen them stick?


I’m not asking for anything shady just looking to understand the best practices to make sure reviews actually go live.

what you’re seeing is pretty common now. If the reviews aren’t going live even after a day or two, it’s almost always an issue with the IP or the fingerprint. Using NordVPN triggers Google’s filters right away ,those IPs are way too clean, too datacenter-like. They don’t look like real local users.

If you want the reviews to stick, the account needs to feel human ,not just a different login, but real usage before the review: Google searches, Maps activity, even some Gmail interaction. Just changing the IP won’t cut it if the entire session feels artificial.

Try interacting with the GMB first. I would recommend going to the GMB, checking the photos, services and leaving. Come back later on that day or next, click through to the website, interact there. Come back again the next day and either call or ask for directions etc.

You'll actually see in maps google recommend you leave a comment. That's generally a good sign it will stick. It's not required to show up but if you see it its a good signal it will stick. Think of it like proper user interaction. If you were Google, what would you deem to be normal user interaction?

keep your comments fairly neutral too and nothing overly positive.

Changing your IP many times during sensitive times is wrong. To make your review on GMB appear and last long, you should use a real google account, have regular activities and avoid using datacenter IP or shared VPN. Prioritize residential IP or real network
