Gentlemen, I have another GMB profile dilemma.
I have a new client in the medical niche. They are in the rehab business. They have now opened a medical course and want to promote this area (service).
They have a profile on GMB that is just in the “rehabilitation” category and they call the profile by the company name.

I want their profile to show up on google search - that would be very cool! But I'm wondering how to do that?

- Just add the name of the courses to the company name (profile name)?

- Or add these courses to the list of services? (wouldn't be as obvious)

- Add a new company to the profile? (then there might be problems because the address is the same).

if your client’s core GMB listing is already verified and ranking under “rehabilitation,” the safest move is to expand via the services list , not by touching the profile name. Adding the courses as structured services lets you show up for more queries without raising red flags. Google's becoming picky about name stuffing, especially in YMYL niches like medical.

Creating a second listing at the same address might cause more issues than it solves unless you have strong business justification and real entity separation. But if visibility is the goal, service entries + a solid landing page per course can already boost local relevance.

We made the decision to make a page on an existing website. Since this site has links from US government sites. And this is a huge plus to the reputation of the domain in general.

That’s actually a solid move. Leveraging an existing domain with high-authority backlinks ,especially from .gov sources ,gives you a strong foundation both in trust and crawl priority. If the new page is cleanly structured and well-aligned with the site's existing topical trust, it should index well and might even benefit from inherited authority signals.

Just make sure the course content is internally linked and has some engagement signals (time on page, scroll, etc.) ,Google’s still watching behavioral data post-crawl, especially on medical-related queries.

In medical niches changing the GMB name is risky. Add the courses under services and point them to the new page on your authority domain. This way the profile can still rank for course queries without risking suspension.

Best to avoid changing the business name just for keywords. Adding the courses under services is usually safer and still helps with visibility without risking suspension.

Don't add keywords to the business name, that violates Google's guidelines and can get the profile suspended.

Best approach is to add the courses under the Services section in GBP. This is exactly what that feature is built for and Google will start showing the profile for those search terms over time.

Also create a dedicated post on GBP about the courses, Google Posts help signal relevance for new services quickly.
Creating a separate profile at the same address for the courses would likely trigger a duplication flag so avoid that route

I had avoid changing the business name, especially adding keywords, that can cause issues. Better to add the courses as services and create posts around them. Also updating the description and adding relevant content usually helps visibility over time.
