Are Silo Structures Still Worth the Effort?

Real talk are silo structures still worth it ?

I’ve built out a few SEO content clusters with tight internal linking, and honestly… not seeing much more movement than a loosely organized blog setup.

For smaller sites (50–100 pages), do silos still help? Or are we just doing it for our own OCD now ?

Would love to hear from folks doing both.

Has Google moved beyond site structure as a ranking factor ?

I agree with you that small / fresh sites need to pay attention to all of these bothersome small SEO details (like site structure / siloing) whereas big sites can get away with murder when it comes to google rankings. Google just loves big, authority sites, so they'll pardon them of everything, whereas small sites / random nobodys...

Anyway, good site structure might not impact rankings directly, but it sure helps with user experience (and with the AI on the sides, too, as it allows google's AI to steal your content easier because it's well organized), which lowers bounce rate and helps users find stuff easier.

So yeah, silos might not directly impact rankings (especially if you're a big brand), but it can help the little guys, so I think it's still worth implementing...
