Many Go developers here?

Just out of curiosity.

Are there many Go devs here? I have spent the last number of years writing Go for backend / automation work and find it pretty damn neat, if I am honest.

..Although I do have an interest into getting into the JS space as it would further enable me to be able to do a little more in the frontend with React etc..

But damn, the JS space seems all over the place and lots of the same tooling that does the same thing, anybody else ever find that?

I Have been wanting to jump into GO for a long time now but still haven’t done it yet since JS and Python has been enough to keep things moving.

Yes, JS is definitely all over the place when it comes to dependencies, frameworks, what is required if you work with some of these, deprecation upon depreciation, etc. looking at it from the outside it is surprising that so much is built upon a very peculiar house of cards. But it is very fun though.

Same here . Go for the backend, but been thinking of picking up React. Any advice on where to start without drowning in a sea of frameworks.

clerk and supabase will handle 90% of back-end for you if you already know how to throw react components together

if you're actually looking to get the foot in the door, look at how easy astro is to work with when importing react files. the docs for both sides are crazy
