thanks for your nice answer.SEO Is Not Dead—It’s Evolving
Search Engine Optimization is still one of the most effective ways to get long-term, free traffic to your website. But the rules of the game have shifted, especially with AI-driven search, zero-click results, and platforms like ChatGPT answering questions directly.
What Still Works in SEO Today:
- Helpful, original content
Google’s algorithms (especially post-Helpful Content Update) now prioritize content that’s genuinely written for users, not search engines.- Topical authority
Covering a niche deeply rather than broadly helps search engines trust your site.- User experience and intent
Content that answers user intent fast and clearly (not fluff) wins. SEO is more about solving problems than keyword stuffing.- Strong on-page SEO basics
Titles, headers, internal linking, image optimization—these still matter.- Backlinks still help
They’re not everything, but high-quality links from relevant sources still boost authority.
What
- Thin content spun around keywords
- Mass-produced AI articles with no human editing
- Clickbait headlines that don’t deliver
- Ignoring mobile speed and UX
- Focusing only on Google and ignoring platforms like YouTube, Pinterest, or TikTok
SEO in 2025 = Search Experience Optimization
You’re not just optimizing for Google anymore. You're optimizing for:
- AI assistants (like ChatGPT)
- Visual search (Pinterest, TikTok)
- Voice search
- Featured snippets and zero-click results
SEO is not dead. Bad SEO is dead. The future belongs to those who adapt their strategies to real human needs—through smart content, multi-platform presence, and genuinely helpful experiences.
I was actually thinking of it. There are 1-2 new questions around this every day. it becomes a trend.here are some recent threads with the exact same question but with answers to this exact question:

SEO is still going strong; it's simply changing. People cry "SEO is dead" whenever Google adjusts its algorithm, but in actuality, it only eliminates ineffective strategies. Get forward or fall behind. The rules are always changing, but the game itself remains the same.Recently it's a top discussion topic for bloggers and SEO experts. Is SEO really dead or its just a hype?
It is an eye grabbing headline. And thus everyone keeps using it just to get more views on their website. Just see the responses on this thread itself. So many people commented here simply because of the title of this thread.Recently it's a top discussion topic for bloggers and SEO experts. Is SEO really dead or its just a hype?
Why backlink won't work? Most people here will obviously tell you SEO isn’t dead because they sell SEO services. That said, websites still need basic SEO for algorithms to understand them. However, backlinks aren’t as impactful as they used to be—if you're relying on them to rank on Google today, you’ll likely get almost zero clicks due to AI-driven results (and there are already several studies proving this).
