It's not about the number of shorts but you should focus on reach and promotions. If you post 20 shorts everyday but hardly have any views, then it's a waste of time. You can also try to copy the strategy of competitors to get some traction.

I have seen that if we post up to 6 shorts a day, spaced by 2 to 3 hours then it gives the best result. If I try to upload more, some of those shorts don't get enough views.
One can adjust this number as you grow your channel. Perhaps your audience can consume more content than mine.

Upload regular 1 shorts video only.
Good keyword research and trending topics coverage will give you the good views.

I would prefer to publish 1 high quality short per week than spamming 10 low quality shorts per day

The view threshold has changed, before it was 2k views and now it is 30k per video
Yes you can put 10 shorts daily. You can put even more when the account gets aged and you have done all verifications.

You don't have to post 10 shorts a day, 3-4 a day with good quality is good enough, first post 40 seconds- 1 min videos, gain retention on that and then slowly increase to 2-3 mins shorts.

Instead of posting more shorts post less but they should be of good quality. Like post on recent trend to get viral. One viral reel and you can expect thousands of subscribers.

Do not run around number of shorts, make sure what you are uploading is if top quality.

1-2 high quality shorts are enough to get good views and sales. But if you can afford, you can upload up to 10. But to upload 10 shorts, if you drop quality, then I don't see any good thing here.
