I'm really frustrated.
I created a new reddit account
Now, it is true that I intend to drive traffic form reddit to my new site.

But I swear I never put a link and did nothing intended as promotional!

New profile -> subreddit creation -> subscription to varius related subreddit -> 1 single post on my subreddit about a spy tool (NO LINK, nothing, just a consideration) -> a totally innocent reply in affiliatemarketing subreddit

this is just what I've done = my subreddit is banned
and can't change my personale profile pic, which I think is a result of a shadowban

What did I wrong? May be the fact that I created a subreddit just 1 minute after account creation?
Come on, it is impossible to operate on that network!

Dude that sucks massive time. Reddit's brutal with new accounts especially when they smell even a whiff of self-promotion. Creating a subreddit right after signing up was probably a red flag to their system even if you didn't link anything. Plus mentioning a "spy tool" can sound kinda shady. It's like they're extra sensitive. Don't sweat the profile pic thing it's probably just part of the shadowban package deal. Honestly reddit's a minefield sometimes gotta walk super carefully or boom you're banned.

Yes, you likely triggered Reddit’s trust filters due to the pattern: brand-new account, immediate subreddit creation, and activity in promo-sensitive subs like affmarketing. Even without links, Reddit looks at behavior patterns, fast activity, subreddit creation, and posting cadence, which can trigger bans or soft shadowbans. Not being able to change your profile pic is a strong sign you’ve been flagged or rate-limited.
Next time, age the account a few days, interact normally (upvotes, casual comments), and make sure your IP/fingerprint setup is clean. Mobile proxies are useful here, they offer a more natural footprint than typical datacenter proxies and reduce the risk of instant flags.

If your new profile was created using a flagged IP or a flagged device (related to previously banned accounts), this new profile is also exposed to ban risks, even if you do not publish links

Take it slow and use clean IPs, as @RichMedusa mentioned. Focus on warming up more than anything else. Spread the actions over multiple days at the start.

For example, don’t post anything on the sub for a week after creating it. Instead, edit its details day by day and only crosspost in the beginning.

Thanks for all the tips guys
Really appreciate. Now I'm doing things slowly.

You use aged accounts to create subreddits. When you create a subreddit don't post anything on it for weeks give it time.

This is why I always warm up accounts for at least a week with basic comments before anything.
