Hi BHW Team,

I’m interested in offering my service on the forum, but currently, I don’t have the budget to upgrade to a seller or marketplace account.
Is there any way to share my service or promote it on the forum without upgrading, maybe in a different section or under certain conditions?
I just want to make sure I follow the rules while still being able to get started.
Thanks for your time and any guidance you can provide!

Best regards,
[Mr Jackson]

There is no way out of this
The system requires, an upgrading
Then the fees for a sales thread

That's even if the service is accepted on bhw in the first place

Thanks for your input!
Just to clarify — are you referring specifically to BlackHatWorld, or speaking generally about other platforms?
From what I understand, BHW requires an upgrade to post in the marketplace, but I’d love to know if there’s any specific section where basic selling is allowed without one.

Appreciate your time!
Ignore his reply. It's generic AI response.
You can't sell anything on BHW without upgrading your account.

JV sub-forum allows you to enter into a partnership with someone but that is NOT selling. If you're found exploiting it, you may get banned. Requirements for JV are 50 posts and account age of at least 30 days.

I appreciate you taking the time to explain the rules clearly. That helps a lot and avoids any confusion going forward.

Thanks for your guidance.

So basically, unless you're upgraded, you can't actually sell on BHW, and trying to bend the rules via the JV section is a quick way to get flagged. Good to know before wasting time or risking the account.

I’m mostly in the web design space, and was exploring BHW to potentially offer niche-specific landing pages or funnel builds, but looks like I’ll need to go the proper route and upgrade if I want to list anything legit. Thanks again for breaking it down!

An account upgrade is required to use the marketplace section on BHW.
Also, it will be rejected if your post doesn't qualify for the moderators' check.
BHW offers its users genuine and verified services that they have tested.

No, you can’t sell or promote services without upgrading to a marketplace seller. BHW is strict about this — avoid getting banned. Best option: build rep, help in forums, and upgrade when you can.

Exactly — it's good to get clarity early on instead of running into issues later. I was also exploring options and didn’t want to accidentally break any rules.

Appreciate everyone who shared useful info. And best of luck with your web design offers — sounds like there’s definitely demand for that here.

Thanks for the insight — that’s really helpful to know.

I wasn’t aware that posts go through a moderator check even after upgrading. It’s good to see that BHW maintains a quality standard for services listed on the marketplace.

Appreciate you sharing this info!

Yes, you can do it without upgrading..
Thanks for your input!

Although I’ve seen different opinions, it seems like the official stance from moderators is that selling without an upgrade isn’t allowed — and trying to work around it could risk an account ban.

Still, appreciate you sharing your perspective.

Thanks for the clear advice.

I agree — better to follow the rules and build a solid reputation first rather than take risks. I’ll focus on contributing and learning more in the meantime.

Appreciate you taking the time to share this!

Yes, you can sell your service without upgrading on many platforms, but features may be limited. Free accounts often have restrictions on visibility, reach, or payment tools. Upgrading usually offers better exposure and more tools to grow your sales.
Thanks for the info — you're absolutely right about how it works on many platforms.

In the case of BHW though, it seems like selling without upgrading isn't allowed at all. Good to know the differences — helps avoid confusion when exploring multiple platforms.

Appreciate you sharing your thoughts!

Unfortunately, BHW doesn’t allow service promotion without a Marketplace Seller account. Even indirect selling outside the Marketplace (like in forum replies or signatures) can lead to penalties.

Appreciate the clarification.

I didn’t realize indirect promotion like in replies or signatures could also be an issue. That’s really good to know —Thanks for sharing!
