Hi all,

I’m exploring n8n as a tool for building automation workflows I can sell to clients (lead gen, reporting, etc.).

Anyone here offering automation services using n8n?
What industries or tasks have worked best for you?
Any tips on pricing or client onboarding?

Looking to learn and maybe connect with others doing similar work.

Thanks!

Yes, there are a lot of groups the easiest thing you can do is set up an n8n automation and then make a video tutorial. Title your post How to Read and Write your eamils on auto pilot with chat gpt. If you can produce a good video, strong hook and it goes viral you can produce a lot of client intake for your N8N. You say well I just showed them how to make it why would they hire me.

Well you're right the people will just go make it 90% of them, the other 10% have never touched a piece of technology beyond their cell phone. And with good CTA they will call you.

I have a good developer on staff for n8n automatons. What are you needing?

Thank you. That’s some real gold right there. Appreciate you breaking it down like that.
I’m still starting out and learning the ropes. If I need help or want to collaborate, I’ll reach out for sure.
Thanks again!

You are welcome, enjoy your time at BHW you are home!

I've been automating my annoying jobs with python instead of these tools. It's honestly just as easy and infinitely more cheaper

Yes, I use n8n for client automation mainly in ecom, marketing, and SaaS. Lead enrichment, email follow-ups, and reporting dashboards are top use cases. Pricing depends on complexity: start with a flat setup fee, then offer monthly support or hosting. For onboarding, show quick wins early. A Loom demo of the workflow in action goes a long way.

I once made a zip extractor tool that goes into files and unzip zips inside of zips and then compiles them into folders by file type

Here are your

Movies
Images
PDF
Sheets
Docs
EXE files

All nice and neat. Chat GPT teaches python very well. I'm rather new to it but I'm eager to learn as my brand just doesn't quit. Like ever!

I second this loom video goes a long way thing! Winning any client with a loom video is key.

Some great, practical ideas in this thread already. It's cool to see how people are using these platforms beyond simple webhook connections.
Here’s a more holistic system I've been conceptualizing: an **Autonomous Reputation Management & Link Building Engine.**
It's not just one workflow, but a team of interconnected **specialist agents** that work together 24/7:
1. **The 'Mention Monitoring Agent':** This is the 'ears' of the operation. It constantly scans the web (using APIs from tools like Awario or Brand24) for any new, unlinked mentions of your brand name, product, or key executives.
2. **The 'Sentiment Analysis Agent':** When a mention is found, it's immediately passed to this agent. It uses an AI model (like OpenAI's API) to classify the mention's sentiment: is it positive, negative, or neutral? This adds a crucial layer of intelligence.
3. **The 'Triage & Routing Agent':** This is the 'brain'. Based on the sentiment, this agent decides on the next action: * If the sentiment is **negative**, it instantly creates a high-priority ticket in your customer support system (like Zendesk) and sends an alert to a dedicated Slack channel for immediate human intervention. * If the sentiment is **positive or neutral**, it passes the information to the final agent.4. **The 'Link Building Outreach Agent':** This is the 'voice'. For all the positive and neutral mentions, this agent finds the contact info for the website's author or editor. Then, it automatically sends a personalized thank-you email. In the P.S. of the email, it subtly asks if they'd be willing to make the brand mention a clickable link back to your site.
The beauty of this is that you're not just automating a single task; you're automating an entire **business function.** You're building a digital team that both protects your brand's reputation and actively builds high-quality, contextual backlinks for you around the clock, with zero human input unless a problem is detected.
It takes more effort to architect a system like this compared to a simple scraper, but the ROI is on a completely different level. It’s the difference between automating tasks and building systems.
