In my view, SEO is far from dead, and the upcoming changes are actually a positive development, as they will sift out those who still operate with outdated, “old-school” tactics. Furthermore, the profession is becoming increasingly user-centric, requiring genuine attention to searchers’ needs and intents in order to deliver meaningful results. Ultimately, this shift allows the industry to purge itself of many bad practices !

For all types of queries SEO is not dead but for informational queries SEO is in danger because most of the people feel comfortable to ask question in chatbot instead of going search engine for getting direct answer.

SEO isn’t dead — it’s evolving. With AI and search intent shifts, traditional tactics alone won’t work anymore. But if you adapt and focus on quality content, UX, and EEAT, SEO is very much alive and thriving.

I think SEO is in the turmoil of Ai trend and definitely take place on time. So, it will never be dead, dude.

Who else than small SEO agencies scared of loosing their business still cares about Google SERPs? It's becoming increasingly evident that achieving a #1 ranking on Google doesn't guarantee the traffic it once did. The introduction of AI Overviews and other SERP features often provides users with immediate answers, reducing the need to click through to individual websites.

In this context, the traditional SEO goal of securing the top spot may no longer yield the desired results. As AI continues to evolve, offering concise and accurate answers, users are less inclined to navigate through multiple websites. This trend suggests a need to reassess our strategies and perhaps focus more on integrating with AI platforms or enhancing direct engagement channels like forums and social media.

Thanks all for the discussion, I think SEO is very much alive, but the rules are changing.
We have to Focus on helpful, in-depth, human-oriented content.

SEO isn’t dead — it’s just not as easy as it used to be.
With AI content, stricter Google updates, and smarter algorithms, the game has changed. You can’t rely on old-school tricks anymore. Now it's all about quality, relevance, and trust.

Old SEO is dead. Smart SEO evolves.
Good Thinking.
