This happened last month. My FB profile got flagged, which took down the BM and the WABA. Here’s how I recovered:

  • Asked Meta support to reassign BM to backup admin (always add one!)
  • Used WABA API to export number settings before downtime
  • After 2 days, reinstated profile and restored WABA
Biggest lesson: always use a backup profile with Admin access.

Thanks for sharing this super valuable reminder. A backup admin on the BM is critical, especially when you're running WABA. That API export trick before downtime was smart. One thing to add: if you’re logging in from multiple devices or managing several profiles, it’s a good idea to isolate your sessions. Mobile proxies can help here by providing clean, geo-consistent IPs that reduce the risk of Meta flagging your activity as suspicious.

Yeah, my BM had been scanned by fb recently. I had a back up admin as well and contact them for a support but the dead BM has not been live back as well. Some of them still remain restricted, but i will try your method too ya.

Yeah @rajagency , that’s solid advice and a situation way too many people ignore until it’s too late. Once your main FB profile gets flagged, everything linked to it—BM, ad accounts, even WABA—can go down instantly. Meta support won’t help unless there’s another clean admin already in place. Having a second profile as backup admin is a must, especially for WABA setups.

Also, smart move exporting your WABA settings via API before things fully locked. If you're running serious ops, this kind of fail-safe setup is non-negotiable. Agency infra usually builds this redundancy in by default, so you don’t lose the whole stack from one flagged profile.

Thanks for sharing this. It’s really helpful to know how you managed the recovery process. Having a backup admin definitely seems like a must from now on!

Thanks for sharing! That’s solid advice—having a backup admin on your Business Manager is crucial to avoid total lockout. Exporting WABA settings beforehand is smart too.

Please I need your assistance, Facebook disabled 4 of my Facebook profile at once and I requested review and it wasn't not approved instantly and I have pages for the both accounts with followers up to 800k+ and 700k+ please how can I get access to those Facebook accounts and the problem am the only admin on the page

I had this problem before. When my profile was flagged, both BM and WABA crashed. I contacted Meta Support and asked them to transfer BM to another admin. Once my profile was restored, everything was back to normal.
