What Causes ‘Account Restricted’ on BM with Zero Activity?

It’s definitely concerning how quickly some Business Managers are being restricted, even without any ad activity. It does seem possible that Meta is tightening its automated filters, potentially flagging dormant or newly created accounts as a precaution. You’re not alone for sure.

Made a new BM, didn’t run any ads, and it still got restricted within 48 hours.
No risky activity. No unusual IP. Is this happening to anyone else? Is Meta running automated filters on dormant accounts now?
Don’t leave new BMs totally idle. Post something on the attached page, click around in Events Manager, or create a custom audience. Show signs of intent, even if you're not ready to run ads yet.

I also tried creating Business Manager from fresh facebook accounts and most of them ends up getting suspended within minutes,

you wont be able to do any activity before it gets restricted automatically in this scenario

Used and older business managers are definitely a more reliable option but adding new accounts on them still causes same issues

Majority of my BMs which got restricted were having a Whatsapp API account attached, some of them were not even active...

This is a common issue, many new BMs are getting locked out before they even run ads. It seems like Meta is using automated filters on new or inactive accounts. First, file an appeal, as if you haven't broken any rules, your BM will likely be unlocked.

new BM's are so volatile IMO, I tried it and I was frustrated for the first half of my venture on FB BM. Just buy trusted old BM.

Creating BM on unverified FB accounts may also result in BM being restricted and unusable.

New BM is locked before running ads. It seems that Meta is using an automatic filter on new or inactive accounts. First, file an appeal, because if you have not violated any rules, your BM will likely be unlocked, if not, just buy old BM, look for a reliable supplier

If there is a resistance button, you can resist, but with such BMs, you should remove them because they often have errors and are easily wiped out by Facebook continuously.

The appeal was dismissed immediately. I had to delete the BM.

if BM has a complaint button then you should complain to it, but such BMs are very weak and it will be disabled again, you should buy a stronger BM to create an advertising account

Even if you’ve had no recent activity, Facebook may be enforcing restrictions because your Business Manager was involved in past policy violations, such as spammy activities or abusive content.

Facebook is very sensitive at this time, so I advise you to use old BMs, that is the perfect choice at the present time.

Yeah, it’s been happening more often lately. Meta seems to auto-flag new BMs even without activity, likely due to patterns like IP ranges, cookies, or account history. Warming up the profile and connecting verified pages/payment methods early can sometimes help avoid instant restriction.

It's concerning that some Business Managers are being restricted so quickly, even without any advertising activity. Meta is tightening its automated filters, potentially flagging dormant accounts.
