I've been hearing a lot about the Growth Operator business model, basically partnering with brands or creators to grow their revenue in exchange for equity or rev-share, instead of charging flat fees.

Sounds like a mix between consultant, CMO-for-hire, and performance-based agency.

Anyone here running this model or worked with someone who does?
Would love to hear real-world insights, what's working, what sucks, where to find clients, etc.

Drop your experience (or red flags) below o_O

I'm also interested on this model.
Nice! Did you already know about the model or just came across it recently?
Have you tried anything similar before, like rev-share deals, performance-based campaigns, or equity partnerships?
Curious to see how others are approaching it.

I know little bit about this model, but still confused about compliance

Encounter founders who hide important data and you spend more time investigating, some the team expect you to fix everything, but only worthwhile for project that has the right market fit but struggling to scale,

Yeah, I totally get that, feels like half the battle is just getting clear data.
Some founders want “growth” but don’t even give you baseline numbers to work with.
Definitely only worth it if the product actually has potential but just needs better execution.

Have you had any wins with projects like that? Or did it end up being more trouble than it was worth?

After stomach everything, a decent win, not worth to remember
