The quiet transition from Sol ecosystem

I find this very interesting that the more people tend to rally against memecoins, the more they are coins are released into the market. I’m not sure if you also noticed, this year lot of memecoins based on BSC are been released steadily. Earlier this year, i kind of made a decision to stay off degen trading not because i was unprofitable.

However, the more i look away the more i see others making profits. I actually decided to take a break as SOL coins became less profitable for me last year. But i might change my mind as BSC tokens tend to be making the waves. At first, it was $B that caught my attention after that impressive performance, then came $Z which i’m keeping a close watch on. Some other tokens too are giving me a rethink. I’m all in on this transition as the Sol ecosystem became oversaturated for me.

Always wary of meme coins as so many of them seem to be rug pulls or unless you get in real early you miss out as by the time they hit major platforms, they've already had the pump/dump run.

These days I've mainly been buying the dips on "stablecoins" as finding more success but the gains are much smaller.

Will take a look at $B/Z as not familiar with either so following this as well as researching myself. hope it pans out for us both

expecting things to be ded for while and start picking up again in August/September when btc is expected to do a new ATH after that I think it's 2026 bear market time but let's see

It was the same last cycle for BSC, heaps and heaps of memecoins released every day - I was pretty sure the memecycle ended there but here we are again with pumpfun on SOL. BSC memecoins space is pretty dead this time around, all the real volume is around SOL.

I feel you—summer slowdowns hit every cycle. But if BTC manages to rally around Q3, the spillover could easily reignite meme frenzy again. I wouldn’t be surprised if it plays out like the 2021 summer lull followed by a Q4 mania.

Fair point—and I actually don’t think SOL is “dying” either, just that the memecoin meta on Solana feels a bit saturated right now. The crazy gains we saw late last year are harder to come by lately, and a lot of traders are noticing that attention is shifting, at least temporarily.

You bring up a solid point—and I think this highlights how fragmented the memecoin landscape has become across chains. Yes, SOL is definitely commanding more volume right now, largely due to platforms like pump.fun and the speed of launches. But you're absolutely right: volume alone doesn’t always equal quality.

Exactly….quality is more important. SOL high volume is undeniable but sustainability is what matters. SOL’s speed and pumpfun has made it the meme avenue but how many of those coins perform well after the first pump?

You’re referring to a single random token, obviously if you cherry pick you can get projects with decent price movements - the vast majority of launched BEP20s on PCS go straight to -99% pretty much the same as on PumpFun (or Raydium).

It’s not really chain related, it’s the memecoin space - BEP20, SPL or whatever other chain doesn’t really make that much of a difference.

You are right, and according to one statistic I checked yesterday on PumpFun, only 10% of traders make money, while the others lose, to the extent that PumpFun makes enough profits on their platform. However, the memecoin he mentioned, $Z, may actually be different and be among the 10% of projects that traders make money from - who knows? I've also been following Bitget's on-chain projects, and their listing projects have been solid, which $Z is also among. You should look into it and see the difference when you're less busy.

Vast majority of these launches, especially the bigger ones are insider plays.
