so, you want to make websites, or to rank them?? It's unclear to me...

If you're referring to making websites Wordpress is indeed one of the best platforms. For managing multiples websites you can try ManageWP / MainWP / WPMU DEV / etc...

As for ranking, well, that's a different story and involves getting a lot of things right, but I'll leave them for latter... or for other people to mention as I'm not very up-to-date with the latest details...
