Hey, I’m wondering what your opinion is in 2025 on Facebook broad targeting (without specifying interests)?

I think it could work well for products like eBooks on broad topics such as relationships, psychology, and other universal themes that appeal to a wide audience.

Do you start ads just without putting interests?

Meta's AI has gotten a lot stronger
so Interests are getting less accurate
CPM costs can be lower, Especially effective with mass or universal products.

Yes I noticed that :) Currently running relationship low priced eBook with just 1d click attribute.

Will tell results!

Meta’s algorithm has become much smarter, so broad targeting can now be more effective than using specific interests, especially for products with universal appeal.

what’s your take on Facebook broad targeting in 2025? I feel it works well for things like eBooks on universal topics like relationships, psychology, etc. don't tell me that you start your ads without any interests?

Yes, started with high budget and positive ROI on first day :)

Yeah, broad targeting can definitely work in 2025, especially with strong creatives. Facebook’s algo is way better now at finding the right people if your offer is solid. I’ve seen better results sometimes without interests, especially for broad niches like self-help or relationships. Worth testing for sure, just let the data guide you.

Yeah I noticed its also better to focus more on creatives, texts and facebook will find audience by itself best.

Also no interests = better scaling for sure.

Only thing that will be worth is of course Look a Like audiences which can help FB even better match audience based on lifetime collected data.

Broad targeting is becoming a popular approach for campaigns with accessible content, especially for ebooks about psychology, emotions, or self-development. Without having to lock down your user base from the start, sometimes letting the system find the right audience can bring better results and lower costs. The important thing is that the content is compelling enough and the pixel has a minimum amount of data for the algorithm to optimize in the right direction. Scaling is also easier when not limited by a hard target.

I think campaigns that provide complete information will have better reach than campaigns that are uninteresting or lack information.

Yeah, broad targeting can actually work pretty well now—Meta’s algorithm is way better at finding the right people. I’d test it, especially if your offer has wide appeal. Just keep an eye on your ROAS.

In addition to efficiency indicators, it is necessary to allocate large budgets to expand the necessary reach.

Depending on the niche yep.

When it comes to mainstream stuff or even ebooks about everyday life topics then yeah broad targeting has its own pros.

Depends on the niche. Obviously, if you're running Crypto/Gambling you're not going to use broad targeting.

IPTV I would to some extent... depending on the goals. But it's kinda risky.

Broad targeting is an effective strategy for campaigns with popular content, like psychology ebooks. It allows the system to find the right audience, which often results in better results and lower costs. The key is that the content is engaging and the pixel has enough data. The big advantage is that it is easy to scale without being limited by hard targeting.
