buying them can work but google has gotten way stricter lately with local business listings. if the accounts giving the reviews have never actually been physically near your area or don't have local search history, they usually get filtered within a few days. it's a waste of money if they don't stick. honestly for a small side hustle you are better off offering a small discount to your actual local customers to leave a review on the spot, or just getting a few local friends to do it from their own phones while they are in your area. if you absolutely must buy, drip feed them incredibly slow... like one every week or two, and make sure the seller is using high quality local profiles, not just cheap bulk accounts.
