Hi everyone,

I wanted to check in and hear about your recent experiences with obtaining an online gambling certificate from Google.

Although restrictions have become much stricter in recent months, I used to be able to get certified by submitting a landing page that listed fully licensed operators (like Betclic, Winamax, etc.). Eventually, a suspension would occur, but I could typically keep the account live for a few weeks.

However, over the past two months, I’ve been trying the same strategy—with some variations focused on sports betting or even horse racing—but Google doesn’t even bother to respond anymore, not even with a rejection.

Have you faced similar issues? Are there any recent changes or strategies that have worked for you?

I’m mainly targeting France and Portugal.

Thanks in advance for your feedback!

Hi! I heard that Google has recently tightened its policy regarding certified casinos. It now has databases for most countries where there are licensed casinos. Therefore, it has become more difficult to pass its verification. I also think that they now have a big backlog in the certification department, because after the latest updates, many advertisers were carried out and they are trying to return back.

Yes, Google is becoming stricter everyday and that's why advanced cloaking is required when running such ads.

Do not bother with certificiates

Lots of people are facing that sort of issues.
