Before I started learning JavaScript, React, and eventually Node.js, I had big dreams and genuine passion. I was excited by the idea of building things, solving problems, and hopefully making a living from it. I truly believed that once I gained the right skills, opportunities would come flying my way.

But reality is... different.

Now that I’ve built several personal projects — some complete, some still in progress — I find myself feeling bored and sometimes even stuck. I’m still learning and improving, especially with new frameworks and tools. But every time I feel like I’m catching up, the tech world throws in a new buzzword, a new "must-learn" framework, or some complex pattern that I’ve never heard of.

It’s exhausting.

What I once thought was an industry desperate for developers now looks like an industry filled with developers desperate for meaningful work. I see so many talented people building amazing things, yet struggling to find real-world projects, clients, or jobs. And here I am, just trying to find my footing in this ocean of code and competition.

Sometimes I wonder — is it just me? Am I too slow? Too early? Too invisible?

Maybe. Maybe not.

But I’m still here. Still coding. Still learning. Still hoping that the effort pays off someday. And if you’re in the same boat — lost, tired, uncertain — just know you’re not alone.

I'm not a lazy person, I type every single one of it but then instead of posting it directing and stressing people understanding with my grammatical error, I prefer to check and remove any grammatical error, secondly you read my post and ignore the context and only focus on what you think it's the source, that is not fair.
Thirdly, Ai is here to stay in as much as I don't recommend using it for everything or every time... I recommend checking out it's advantages once in a while... Many times on this forum, I see people apologizing for grammatical errors before or at the ending of the post.

Theres something about the format that screams AI, it's really obvious.

You should not care about grammar. People in this community is from different parts of the world who use different languages. People would understand mistakes no matter how big they are.

Hey, yeah, I understand what you’re saying. And when I got into coding, I had that “build-the-next-big-thing” spark too, only to realize that the tech treadmill never rests. It’s crazy how as soon as you’re comfortable with one library, three more seem to pop up overnight. If you feel stuck or invisible, that’s not failure; that’s essentially the human condition in a constantly shifting playground. Remember, depth often beats breadth; devoting your time to one thing and really killing it might be more satisfying than scrambling on every bandwagon.

You aren’t too slow or too fast, you’ve just got the grinding repetitive work to plow through. Just keep coding at your own pace, and remember to revel in the tiny victories, as every bug you squash and feature you ship it’s a step ahead. Some day you will look back and be amazed at how far you’ve come and you will have stories and memories that no buzzword can take from you.

Of course, I read your post @SOLEXI, Life is so uncertain and delivering what we are not expect. Nobody in this world alone, Just everybody walk in our own path, Somebody really understand the reason of life and continues the journey, and Many of us just walk and reach the place and consider for this is mine.

Anyway, I feel you. I've many friends and colleagues who are developers. Some super successful and the majority struggling. I can say the successful ones have a few things in common - they not only love what they do, they're also extremely proactive with marketing, selling, building their network of prospects. But no doubt, it's a cut-throat industry.

It totally depends on your personal goals. Wanna build personal projects and just have some fun? Go ahead and just relax. Wanna seriously earn money and build real products/SaaS/apps, etc. you better start working your ass off as fast as possible because right now everyone is getting outpaced by AI and how fast it improves.
