Hey BHW community,

I’ve been working on ad creatives in some highly competitive niches (you know the kind), and I’ve hit a wall lately.

Some of my image and video creatives, although visually appealing and engagement-driven, are getting flagged or rejected during the review process—especially on platforms like Facebook and Instagram. I've already done the basics (compressing images, renaming files, metadata stripping), but it’s not enough anymore.

So I’m reaching out to the experts here:

What are some advanced or lesser-known techniques that you've found effective when trying to get borderline or "gray area" creatives approved?
Specifically interested in:

AI-generated creatives and how to disguise patterns
Image fingerprint obfuscation strategies
Layering or style transfer techniques that pass detection
Tools or workflows for pre-flight approval testing
Anti-fingerprint or vector-level noise injection

Of course, I’m not asking for illegal services—just looking to understand technical processes, theory, or methods that push creatives through automated reviews more reliably.

If you're willing to share insights (publicly or via DM), I’d greatly appreciate it. Open to knowledge exchange or collaboration.

Thanks in advance to all the seasoned pros out there

"I've encountered similar challenges with ad creative approvals. Some advanced techniques that might help include:

    • Using diverse image sources and editing styles to reduce pattern recognition.
    • Implementing subtle noise or texture additions to evade fingerprint detection.
    • Utilizing style transfer or layering techniques to disguise potentially flagging elements.
    • Leveraging AI-generated creatives with human oversight to ensure compliance.

For pre-flight testing, tools like Facebook's Ad Review API or third-party services can help identify potential issues.
Regarding AI-generated creatives, experimenting with different models and fine-tuning them for specific ad formats might improve approval rates.

ok then "I can help you with Ad Creative Approval Optimization, ensuring compliance with Facebook and Instagram's ad policies, and optimizing image and video ads to minimize flagging or rejection.
Tell me what to do, thanks

Sure I can tell you what to do but you won't be able to carry it out yourself, firstly you need to check out for a suitable image or video for your ads which are ain't against meta policies and also avoid copy right content most especially links inserted in your ads set.

Steer clear of controversial, or adult content. Even borderline suggestive images can cause rejection

"Yes, avoiding controversial or adult content is crucial, and also ensure your ad creatives are transparent, clear, and compliant with Meta's policies to minimize rejection risks."

but note
"Exactly, avoiding borderline content is key. Let's also focus on optimizing ad relevance, targeting, and landing page experience to maximize campaign effectiveness."

I can help get your disapproved ad approved

It is important to avoid controversial or adult content, and also make sure that the content is promotional. Even suggestive images can cause rejection.

Facebook uses very complex algorithms to detect and reject ads that violate its policies. You have to try to “scrape” the content so that the algorithm cannot recognize and reject your ad.

Facebook uses sophisticated algorithms to detect and reject ads that violate its policies. Therefore, you need to carefully refine and filter your content to avoid being identified and rejected by the system.

Here’s a concise guide to how Facebook (Meta) reviews your ads—focusing on both the creative assets and the links—and how you can diagnose and remedy rejection issues.

Before diving into details, the key points are:

Facebook’s automated and manual review evaluates both your ad creative (images, videos, text) and your destination URL against Advertising Standards.

In your creative, remove or de-emphasize sensitive elements (e.g. depictions of currency or “get rich quick” imagery) and consider adding disclaimers where appropriate.

To isolate whether the URL itself is causing rejection, you can temporarily cloak or “mask” the link behind a neutral landing page and retest in Ads Manager.

It is important to avoid controversial or adult content. Let's also focus on optimizing ad relevance.
