I’m currently considering Reddit and Quora as two potential sources for driving traffic and building quality links through genuine engagement. However, I’m unsure which platform offers the best value, visibility, and long-term benefits for someone who’s just getting started.

Manually search for these keywords. If you find Reddit, Quora, Medium, LinkedIn, etc. in the results, then these sites are valuable. The thumbrule is to find the platforms that are relevant and establish yourself as an authority through them. For example, Google considers Quora good for answers, Reddit for discussion, StackOverflow for coding, youtube for niche videos, LinkedIn for business or career advice, etc. So, you can easily gain link relevance if you can manually filter what Google already considers as relevant. Just blindly creating some links because they are authority sites may not help much.

Reddit removes any links in comments, even those that are genuinely useful and relevant to the discussion topic. So Quora definitely wins in this regard.
