Quora account got banned without warning

My Quora account got banned by Quora moderation without any prior warnings or notifications. I received an email stating that my account was banned. I made an appeal from the form provided but it has been a week but I have not received any clarification from the team.

I used Quora for a business just to answer genuine questions without over promoting my website. I used links to blogs which were relevant to the answers. Also, the answers were of only one niche.

Has anyone faced similar problem? or does anyone has the solution to how to get my account recovered?

Did you include referral links in your answers? Pretty sure that’s against his policies and yep... it’s not allowed. It could’ve been seen as promotion, spam, etc. Anyway, you have 2 options, wait or create another account, I personally have never received support from them

No I never put any referral links in the answers, neither my each answer contains a link. I only put links when there is a relevant blog for it. Do you know approx. how much time it takes to receive their reply?

The account was 6 years old and was active in 5 spaces.

Yes I noticed the same. I lost a 12 year old account. I didn’t even use it to post anything, just to read answers. Suddenly they banned me. I appealed but their response was that they won’t reverse the decision due to multiple violations. I immediately lost all faith in Quora

Apart from many reasons mentioned above, another cause of account ban is using VPN or low quality ips. If that is the case with you, then Quora won't help recover the account.

• Wait at least 7–10 business days
• Then email again politely, referencing your original ticket
• Use: [email protected] or their appeal form again

Ohkay. But neither I use VPN nor IPs. Just simple posting from my location. I hope it considers my appeal. Is their any other way to contact them?

Yeah Quora’s been banning accounts pretty randomly lately, even when you follow the rules. Sometimes it’s not just about links, but how your account behaves overall. If you’re using more than one account, or even just switching IPs or devices too often, that might be enough to trigger something. Quora’s getting stricter.
If you plan to keep using it seriously, best to separate accounts using something like Hidemyacc or Multilogin, each with its own proxy. Won’t guarantee safety, but helps avoid everything getting banned at once.

Although I only used one account then also it banned me. Let's see what happens.
