Don’t get tricked by high DR alone.
I always check if the post has traffic and is in the same topic as my page.
That’s what gives real juice, not just the site’s domain metric.

domains metrics are highly manipulated by link sellers, so of course you should not really on DR and DA only.
traffic, backlink profile, site history, etc can give you a better idea about the worthiness of a site.

Can't believe people still care about DR, DA, etc... especially DA, the most useless metrics.

Glad we're on the same page, Always appreciate exchanging insights with someone who gets it.

Catch you around the forum, and feel free to ping me anytime. Cheers!

Agree. Metrics like DR and DA can be a starting point, but they’re easily manipulated and don’t always reflect real SEO value. I always prioritize real traffic, relevance, and link placement over just chasing numbers.

Exactly. DR and DA can be part of the picture, but they're far from the full story. Real traffic, niche relevance, clean backlink profile, and a solid site history are what truly matter if you're aiming for long-term results. Smart buyers always dig deeper.

I find it super interesting @420lounge that while you have been here on BHW since 14 years, you still don't know about multiquote. Either it is that or...

As for your post, it is fairly basic. Nothing new. And even if you do things as you have suggested, building links is always like gambling. Because there is probability of things working out or not in your favour. Not an exact science as many say.

Agreed.

If we ver consider like check their page traffic, 99.9% BHW link sellers will cut off because these people's Guest posts, Niche edits posts has zero page traffics.

Use the multiquote function when answering multiple posts at the same time. Read this post: https://www.blackhatworld.com/seo/how-to-use-the-multiquote-feature-on-bhw.975670/

Haha, fair point! Multiquote might have slipped past me all these years. As for link building, you're spot on it’s not an exact science. There's always an element of risk involved, and even the best strategies don’t always guarantee success. It’s about testing, adapting, and learning as you go. Thanks for the perspective!

Exactly, traffic is key. Without it, those high DR/DA sites are almost pointless. Quality over numbers.

Yes, checking organic traffic is a very good idea. It is a good indicator that the site is good enough for a backlink.

DR should even be on your things to check, in my opinion.
Relevance, traffic from niche related keywords, outgoing links, and how consistent the traffic is.

Absolutely! Organic traffic shows the site’s credibility with Google a solid signal that your backlink will actually hold value.

Totally agree. DR alone can be misleading. Relevance and real, niche-focused traffic say way more about a site’s value especially when the traffic is steady and not just a one time spike.

While DA is useless, i think DR is still a decent metric to get an idea of the site's authority. I totally agree that real traffic and relevance is the main factor to consider when purchasing links

Don’t be fooled by high Domain Rating alone—what really matters is whether the post gets traffic and aligns with your niche. That’s where the real SEO value comes from.
