Niche channels versus broad channel and upload frequency

I have one main niche and think it would make sense to break that broad category out into separate channels for deep dives into different topics. But it just won't be possible to create and upload so many videos for each channel. I know they should have 1-2 videos per week to grow.

Should I just dial in my focus now and not worry about the other channels now? Or would it be better to have 3 or 4 channels stewing so I can see whether one of them is more popular than the others. My plan is to have them all interlinked and be public about it.

I could either make my main channel stay broad but focused and then do the deep dive stuff later. I could upload the deep dive content now and then delete and re-upload?

Focus on one main channel for now, stay consistent, build an audience, and test deep dives within that channel. No need to start multiple channels unless you have the bandwidth. Use playlists or series to organize topics, see what resonates. Later, if a subtopic really takes off, you can spin it into its own channel. Avoid deleting and re-uploading it hurts performance. Keep everything public and interlinked as planned, but scale only when you’re ready.

Great advice, will do. Makes sense since I'd expect the audience to significantly overlap either way, I don't think I'd be shooting myself in the foot by testing out different content on the main channel. Long term I really want to build a brand and diversify so I'm not reliant on any one channel or even platform.

I’d say stick to one main channel for now. Keep the focus clear but cover a range of topics.

Dividing niche channels is also a way to approach each small customer segment that is suitable for each channel. However, it will require effort to build channels and direct customers.
If you do not have enough human resources, focus on the main channel first, then gradually develop more later.
