I’m running an exact match domain (EMD) site, and while the homepage is ranking well for my target keywords, none of the product or category pages are ranking at all.

Occasionally, one product page will appear in the search results, but it quickly disappears. I currently have 50+ products on the site.

This is my third website in this niche. My other two sites are performing well — one is a branded domain, and the other is also an EMD.

I have checked and all products are indexed. This website is about 6 months old now.

Any idea why this might be happening? I'm open to suggestions or feedback.

Category pages hardly rank these days or the tag pages. Products pages can rank after optimizing them for your target keywords and with strong backinks.

I'm doing the exact same thing in terms of back links and content for my other 2 websites (which rank extremely well)

However the product pages are not ranking at all.

maybe google detects that all sites belong to you and they're choosing to exclude this one from their SERPs. Not proof, just a theory...

It could also mean that the content on the product pages is duplicate / very similar to the content on the other 2 sites, so once again, google chose to exclude your 3rd site based on duplicate content issues..

If these are not it, then like @IM Dude said, it could be a matter of authority and links. Just out of curiosity: what's the DR of your 3 sites?

It could be your poor website structure, difficult navigation and lack of internal links, duplicate content leading to poor SEO and poor website performance, not the website structure.

If your homepage ranks but inner pages don’t, focus on internal linking and optimizing category/product SEO.

Your product pages may struggle due to thin content, duplicate descriptions, or poor internal linking. Ensure unique, well-optimized content and build links to these pages. Also, check for technical issues and be patient, as the site is still new.

Probably just stuff like weak on-page SEO, thin content, not enough internal links, or low authority score on thoes pages may be the reason I guess.
