I was just looking in one of my sites databases and find there is another admin next to me, with this email [email protected]

Anyone else got their database hijacked like this? I am suspecting its from some of the plugins.

And then again i probably have to check if he inserted hes links somewhere on my wordpress as well.

Any thoughts, experiences on this?

It's the UAW plugin. I'm using it on a few article directories and that email is registered in all of them.

oh,my god,just now I find that asshole
I setup my autoblog 10 days ago and today I want to login to my autoblog, but failed,so I check my database and find that asshole there and after I search his email in google,I find your post

This is fairly common no? A lot of so called "free" plugins, wordpress themes, joomla themes etc, come with these sorts of things to create backlinks & advertising for their authors.. IMHO it's not that bad & not too much to ask if the software you are getting is otherwise free? Lots of free wordpress themes have little ads for their authors in the footer for example. Not too hard to get rid of these things anyway. I guess the only think the author should do is make users aware that they exist which sounds like in this case, the guy didn't..

There is a huge difference between adding a link to your site in the footer and inserting yourself into the database as a user with admin rights.

Well said! That IS a huge difference!

I had something injected in my database about a year ago, kept redirecting my traffic to chinese websites - Easy to sort though

I had this fuck too. I just deleted him. I guess restricting access to /wp-admin/ folder by ip won't help if it's a plugin issue.

Well it may not stop him from inserting a user into the database but I would think it would stop him from actually being able to login as an admin.

Is everyone finding him in their database usiing UAW?

Wow, thank god I didn't use this fucker's software in my main autoblogs. Had used this in one previously but hated it and uninstalled it later on.
