I prefer aged .com domains for authority and trust, but niche-specific ccTLDs work well for geo-targeting too.

What are cctlds ?I never had preference for this, the domain with the best backlinks profile that's affordable I would jump on it...
The only rule is no ccTLDs, otherwise everything goes (including .xyz)

country code TLDs, like for Germany it would be .de, for USA it would be .us, for India it would be .in....

they're not bad, but I always found them either too expensive, or unable to register (some of these ccTLDs require you to prove that you're a resident of that country), etc...
But yeah, if you can find good ccTLDs and you're doing local SEO these domains are great to have

I prefer a .com aged domain for the best trust and recognition, though a relevant country TLD can work if you target that market.
