Has "Flippa" sent you an offer?

I hear some clients are getting flippa offers. Someone who identifies themselves as a flippa manager says they have a potential buyer for your site, ask for a call.

The emails I was shown come from someone @ Flippa dot com and from what I could see they look legit (email headers aren't redirecting or anything)

Are these emails real? Is flippa doing this kind of reach out? Have they been doing this for a while? Out of the loop here.

They did it to me, said they might have a buyer. It's only a ruse to get you to put your listing (and pay US$ 99)

They have a lot of "AI Agents" which pretend to be real people and reach out to potential clients. Godaddy does this too. They email you from a random personal email address mentioning how they have the .com version of your domain name and can sell it to you... I own around 30 active domains and get these emails way too often.

Entrepreneurs should look at alternatives. Or go directly to a competitors, pitch the business for sale - and go from there.

We are on same cenario. He contacted me via email with @ Flippa dot com, then he ask to lower my price. Then he accepted his offer, but he keep wasting my time for 2 weeks waiting to buy the domain with his price.

I already reported on flippa on this issue, but until now (2 weeks) flippa didn't reply us back

Yes, I get a ton of follow-up emails from flippa about my websites, but honestly, I usually just ignore them.

Flippa generally doesn’t cold-email sellers with buyers like that. Even if the email looks legit, it could be phishing or a scam. Always verify by contacting Flippa support directly before sharing any info or taking a call.
