Will it be too boring to be immortal?

What would yo do if you are given this power(?) to be immortal? no matter what happens around you, you ll never be dead!

Whats your first move after knowing this?

It’s a damn curse really mate. Things start to feel meaningless after a while and there’s no real purpose behind anything.

Even worse if you're introverted. Everyone disappears eventually and you're just stuck here.

Kinda like those deserted island movies. Looks maybe okay at first, then it turns miserable real quick.

Maybe, I’d swim through molten lava, dive to the depths of the Mariana Trench, or even skate down from the top of Mt. Everest.

But eventually at some point, it all starts to feel meaningless like a curse I can’t escape.

Or else, I’ll probably get caught and trapped in a cell at Area 51 for eternity for research purposes.

Maybe not for the first 200-300 years but, after that, I imagine it will start to look more and more like a curse.

The cope in this thread so far is off the charts.

Maybe you will be very happy at the beginning, but slowly, when your loved ones leave one by one, you will become very miserable, and finally be alone, as if it is a curse.

It is a curse for sure. After sometime you will start to feel lonely because you would have no one around you whom you can talk to or share your burden with.

Would immortality be boring?
It could be. When you've got endless time, nothing feels urgent. People you love would come and go, and life might start to feel repetitive over centuries.

But it doesn't have to be boring. You could learn everything, try every lifestyle, travel the world (and eventually space), and watch humanity evolve like a live documentary. You'd have the chance to shape things quietly from the shadows.

If I became immortal?
First move: disappear. New identity, no spotlight.
If you're immortal, people will eventually notice you're not aging, which could get dangerous. Governments, scientists, or worse, might come after you. Plus, watching your loved ones grow old while you stay the same would be heartbreaking for both sides. Starting fresh protects your freedom and gives everyone else peace.
Then, I'd start learning languages, skills, and cultures. I'd travel, meet people, and live through different eras and ways of life. After a while, once I've seen and felt enough, I'd focus more on helping others, not in loud or obvious ways, but quietly, supporting movements, guiding thinkers, preserving lost knowledge, or passing on wisdom without needing recognition.
The real challenge would be emotional: staying human over time. Everyone you connect with will eventually die. Civilizations will rise and fall. You'd have to choose to keep caring, about people, art, nature, and justice, even when nothing lasts for you. That choice is what would make immortality meaningful instead of just endless.

It all depends on the life you have. Living 10 years can be a curse if you have to deal with wars, abuses, famine, etc. Living 1000 years can be a blessing if you're lucky enough to be safe, independent, wealth and happy.

Hmm, being immortal is quite a paradox! Maybe I'd start by mastering every possible skill and traveling the world, but over time, I might start missing change... Living forever could be stressful too!

More dumb sunday school type crap... How can immortality be something bad? Everything's bad and forbidden here, go to church or smth lol.
It would be a curse. No one wants to see their loved ones dying while they lives forever.

Unless you don't have someone whom you love.
People die, it's normal. You have preparation for this with pets, they live shorter than us usually and it's not the end of the world.

You'll just get tired seeing same sht evryday but would be exciting to see all eras in life lol
