What are some cost effective ways for marketing of a restaurant except paid influencer marketing?

There are none. Restaurants run on thin margins. None of the marketing method is cost effective.
Unless it's your own Restaurant stay away from Restaurant marketing.

Optimize your business for local customers with local SEO. Hire someone to do this for you if have no idea.

Post drool-worthy food pics on socials daily, offer referral rewards, run giveaways, list on Google and food apps, and get loyal customers to post reviews. Old school flyers near offices still work too.

seo, post eye catching content on pinterest, tiktok and instagram

If you serve foods that are exceptionally unique and delicious, word of mouth will be your friend.

make a food catalogue and you have to identify a certain audience and make a package for like students/couple/fun challenges/cuisine and start testing marketing channels along with those hooks as starting these works fine but if you wanna scale the game ads/seo/paid partnerships will be necessary for the long run
there are a lot of other plans too, restaurant business is way more fun if you have enough confidence with your food and decor

yes you can go on big infulencers of foodvlogers on tiktok and youtube ithing this good way

GMB reviews are very popular. Pick local keywords like “best restaurant in New York City” and start publishing articles and videos.

Just make your own short form videos and post on tiktok/instagram, make them entertaining not just selling. Works wonders. Oh and configure your google business properly.

One way you can do marketing for a restaurant without paying influencers is to focus on social media. You can create engaging posts, share mouth-watering food pictures, and interact with customers online. Another cost-effective method is to collaborate with local businesses for cross-promotions. You can offer discounts or special deals to customers who visit both establishments. Additionally, hosting events like food tastings or cooking classes can attract new customers and create buzz for your restaurant.

Many successful restaurants use loyalty programs to get customers coming back for more.

having good/comfort environment is selling point to restaurant, making suite arrange for different section to perfect a good restaurant is the better marketing that sells good restaurant in a location.
That works when there are already people coming to restaurant to make them come again.
