Science has already proven this in a thousand ways, but there's always someone trying to reinvent the wheel. I've seen that documentary where the flat-earth guy basically proves that the Earth is round by accident — classic.

Unfortunately, I believe you are serious. Your homework is not basic Newtonian physics. You can prove to yourself that 1) the Earth is spherical, 2) The Earth rotates on an axis approximately every 24 hours. Below, I will list the simple ways you can prove this to yourself. I have yet to meet even ONE flat earther who is willing to do even basic experiments themselves. It is sad in this modern, technological age that people are being sucked into the flat earth thing. It appears to be done by intelligence agencies who want to discredit people who seek TRUTH.

1) A premise of flat earth is that the sun is "local" meaning it is much smaller and closer than astronomers claim. There are many animated graphics out there showing the sun doing a looping pattern over a flat earth. The reason the sun needs to be "local" is that if the sun really were massive and very far away it would ALWAYS illuminate a flat earth.

PROOF SUN IS NOT LOCAL - You can do something as simple as squinting and place a fingertip at arm's length to see that the sun is the same size shortly after sunrise, at high noon and shortly prior to sunset. If the sun was "local" it would be MUCH larger when overhead (high noon), but it's not. Here's a guy that does a simple experiment to prove this using a digital camera and a sun filter

2) Flat earthers don't believe the earth is rotating. If you don't believe in Newtonian physics perform some experiments to prove they are solid. A mass in motion tends to stay in motion unless acted upon by an outside force. In this experiment we're counting on the mass of a massive pendulum bob to continue its swinging arc - back and forth. Check out Foucault pendulum. The long and the short of it is you can suspend a large bob from a cable (pendulum) over a circle marked 360 degrees. The pendulum continues swinging back and forth, but the Earth rotates underneath it. You can observe this by watching the bob's path over the marked circle. At the North Pole you will see a clockwise rotation covering the whole circle in approximately 24 hours. At the South Pole you will see a counterclockwise rotation in approximately 24 hours. At the equator you will see NO ROTATION. Anything in between will be less than a full rotation in 24 hours. The amount of rotation is proportional to the sine of the latitude of where the test is being performed.

I hope you'll really look into this. NOTE: I'm not defending NASA, moon landing or any thing else. I'm simply stating that by all phyiscal observations, 1) The sun is NOT local and 2) The Earth does rotate on an axis once a day.

Don't try to convince Flat Earth supporters. I've learned from the past: There are various cults, and trying to convince them is a complete waste of energy. I once tried to convince Hexicans that HEX was a scam. But to this day, even though Richard Heart is wanted by Interpol, they still believe his scam.

If someone takes college physics with labs there "should" be no way they would fall for the flat earth "science." The craziest part is their cult leaders are now claiming that "globetards" use "super complicated" models to "justify" their globe model, when it's EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE. Flat earthers have to use complicated, nonsensical models to explain individual observable phenomena, BUT those models don't work holistically. Whereas a child's mobile of the solar system can explain much more harmoniously.

Oh, I can most DEFINITELY see the curvature. To me it is stupid obvious. I've watched the sun set into the Pacific ocean many times. On a clear day if you sit on a hill a few hundred feet above sea level and look at the ocean there is clearly a curve. It's sad that the most basic of physics is lost on flat earthers. I don't understand how this happened, but flat earthers are literally like children putting their fingers in their ears shouting, "I CAN'T HEAR YOU!" Regarding "not feeling" the rotation - have you ever flown in a jet, or ridden in a bullet train? You can be doing hundreds of miles per hour, and once acceleration is complete you don't feel the movement, other than turbulence or turns.

It would make more sense that the Earth is a toroid than flat, or cube anything. Flat earthers also say "water is always flat/level". Well, that's demonstrably not true. Is a drop of dew "flat?" is a raindrop "flat"? I know most flat earthers think planets and stars are just lights in the firmament. If they actually observed planets through a telescope, do they think those are flat too???
