Where to find Cold Callers?

But,Where do you guys look for sales people? And have you achieved success with them?

You can use all sort of recruitment ways. You can for example place an ad in your local newspaper or stick announcements in your neigbourhood.

I use this technique for other reasons, but perhaps it could work for you:

what I do is search for local papers in small towns that have a website. Most papers offer free online ads but charge for the paper. I take out a free ad, and if I get a lead I buy a paper ad. I'd imagine smaller towns are full of people looking for work (especially in this economy) so maybe its worth a shot!

I've had good luck just using CL... I also use a paid employment site just for salespeople: Sales Gravy... and have had good luck with them. I buy resume views of people that seem like they are looking for "telemarketing" or "inside sales". For about $20 I've been able to pick up some pretty good people.

Guys. If you really want to grow your business and establish a name for yourself, cold calling is just not going to cut it for you.

You need to have a much narrower focus and have a niche that you specialize in.

Trust me on this. if you consider cold calling to be an effective way of getting profitable clients for your services, you'll still be asking the same question 90 days from now when you can actually be more successful in 90 days using proven service selling techniques.

I believe telemarketing can be very profitable... look at groupon, they have a room of telemarketers setting up deals and they are raking it in.

But I do agree with Bill's comment on picking a niche. Being a general SEO consultant (as an example) is much less effective then being the guy who sells "SEO just for Realtors"... again that's just an example, but I'm sure you get my point.

Too answer the OP question... have you looked on oDesk? You can get really high quality tele-sales reps for like $6/hr ... just make sure you have them send you a voice sample so you know if they have an accent or crappy English

Really?!? I went from nothing to a very large income just from cold calling, and now have a cold calling team sending me leads. There is a reason why some very large companies all around the world use cold calling-because it works!

Cold calling is essential for rapid growth. the only risk is he telemarketer you get there are some right stinkers,

I think there is tons of money to be made with cold calling. I dont get why anyone would say otherwise.

I have achieved success AS a cold caller for over 12 yrs (wow - starting to feel a lil old) I started out in high school. Where do you find one? Im sure on here - on Craigslist - on Freelancer.com. I am thinking of starting a US based service. I hear the over seas based services are good too
