Wow! Lebron and D-Wade...

if he stayed in Cleveland and didnt win a championship - he would be worse off later

obviously he has huge pressure to win one in Miami - but once he wins 2-3 championships then it will all be worth it too him

plus he is a marketing type guy trying to build huge wealth - so for that once your done playing you need rings

seems a much better bet with Riley - Bosh and Wade - than what was coming back to Cleveland

just my opinion.

Yep, exciting news for all two Miami Heat fans. Yes I'm bitter but fortunately I gave up on the NBA ten years ago.

I'm shocked the guy got an hour long special on ESPN. I don't follow bball so I could care less.

It's not "lebrons" team...
The most extraordinary part of the event was the reaction of Cleveland owner Dan Gilbert, who responded with a venomous, face-saving personal attack on the team's Web site that, in its own way, validates James's decision to leave Cleveland.

In an amazing abdication of leadership — and a remarkable revelation of a flawed character — Gilbert made James a sympathetic figure.

Referring to a "shameful display of selfishness and betrayal by one of our very own," Gilbert called James's decision process "a several day, narcissistic, self-promotional build-up culminating with the national TV special of his ‘decision' unlike anything ever ‘witnessed' in the history of sports and probably the history of entertainment."

Yet it was Gilbert who created the King James monster; it was Gilbert who nurtured and reinforced James's prima-donna-isms, all of the preening and dancing. Now he acts like a lover scorned and lashes out with gibberish about karma and curses.

Gilbert must think he really owned LeBron James.

Surely, he understands business.

Lebron couldn't carry a team, now travels to Miami to be carried. pusssssaaaiii

In the NBA, which seems to market individuals - not teams - this was refreshing to see three guys come together understanding they could not do it alone. It might save the NBA to jaded fans like me.

Guys its a business. at the end of the day Cleveland would trade him in a second for the next phenom geesh you guys would be mad at him but its a business and he made the best business decision he could make. Plain and simple if he Stayed with Cleveland he would have been the best basketball Player who Never to won a championship. Its just funny how everyone is already turning on him, when in retrospect if you were in the same situation with a team with no hope of winning a championship you would make the same decision

i am reserving judgment on his decision because there are very valid arguments for both sides...but the most compelling i have heard so far is in regards to him proclaiming to be the best (or one of the best in the game) and not being able to carry a subpar team to a championship level...he didnt have to stay in cleveland to do that...he couldve went to chicago, or n.y. where he would have a better chance to win while still being the team leader...but the basketball pundits say that although he may have increased his chances of winning a ring by going to miami...he decreased his rep of being a preeminent player by giving up the lebron show to be a d-wade sidekick...man...it dont even matter...them dudes got tons of money and honeys and in that end thats what its about...lol

LeBron's move was very, very personal... he want the Ring... with 7 yrs in Cavs and no championship
Plus he was a free agent and had every right to leave.
The pressure is on now for James to win in Miami. He's got two All-Stars players beside him - D-Wade and C.Bosch...
next season's gonna be awesome.

believe it or not i think its actually still going to be the lebron show and wade will feed off of him. Eventhough its Wade country, I just have a strong feeling that Lebron still will take center stage and wade will be the side kick and bosh will be bosh Almost like when shaq came it was Superman ( shaq) & Flash ( d wade), even-though wade was there before him. We just have to see.

lebron will definitely be the star in miami.

not only can he score, but he can pass, block, rebound, steal and his dunks will always be amazing.

he even said his PPG will decrease which is fine because he'll probably be averaging 20+pts 10 assissts, 10 rebounds per game cos of bosh and wade in the lineup lol.

I smell championship here.

Miami has only 4 players on their roster: Wade, Bosh, James and Chalmers.

Hopefully, Riley will find a good backup for this team.

They need a good pointguard to distribute the ball properly.

Lol, it's easy to win with you got 2 all stars, hell he had all stars in cleveland too, Kobe never ran nowhere when shit went bad, neither did Jordan, LeBron running just takes him out of consideration to be compared with them.

Wade and LeBron are both great passers and ball handlers, they need a center cause Bosh is a pussy and won't play a center.

No when Shaq was there it was Wade's team everybody knows that and Wade was one who won the finals mvp.

I'm a idiot? Do you think he cares about Cleveland SO MUCH that he would sacrifice his ultimate goal of being a champion?

No, I think YOU'RE the idiot, know it all jerk.

How long did it take Jordan to win? What about Kobe when Shaq left? It's easy to run from your problems. Now regardless if he wins, his legacy will always be watered down. Oh and he ultimately has no home now.

He would have never won one in Cleveland that is why he left, and also he knew Cleveland would suck this year, but winning is always sweet, you are only remembered when you win !!!

Why would Cleveland suck this year? Tell me?

I wouldn't go to the extent of comparing Scottie with LBJ-- James is at a point in his career where the comparison would just seem unfair. But yeah, I'm with you in saying that James will have to deal with the fact that he's not gonna be the only star on the team; the Heat is not gonna revolve around him.

You realize Scottie is one of greatest players to ever play, yeah he's Jordan's sidekick and that's exactly what Bron will be to Wade.

He'd still be a man and not a coward that runs from his problems like a kid. And if he was marketing type of guy he would of realized all this bullshit would of ruined his brand, as it is.

There should be a new rule that a team can only sign ONE free agent a year. That way players can't get together to plan a dream team.

one free agent a year? you realize most teams sign more than one free agent a year. Maybe you're saying one MAX free agent a year? even then, they just took less money.

Why would Cleveland suck this year? Tell me?

Because there is no talent there mostly !!

How could you sell going to Cleveland compared to places like Florida, New York or California, Florida and California has great weather all year long and New York is one of the few biggest cities in the world compared to Cleveland shitty weather, besides that the talent they have will want to leave know if you think they will have the best record in the east again they probley wont ever have that again, they will be back to the sorry team they were before Lebron !!

IMO, too much star power for one team. I think that we'll see some great highlights from these guys, but at the end of the day I just don't think they can win like everyone is expecting them to.

And what happens when they lose, who is Lebron going to blame? At Cleveland he blamed his team (rightfully so, they did suck. But I blame their front office for that, not Lebron). He can't blame his team, he can't blame his coach (Lets be honest, at this level coaches aren't as important as they are in college). He has to blame himself, but I don't think he can do that.

As Bill Simmons said:
"LeBron -- Amaze. I think he just really wants to amaze people. Which is why he spends 10 minutes before the game throwing underhand, left-hand half-court shots. Why he celebrates amazing dunks and blocks, but isn't working just as hard to win. I know the Cavs aren't great without him, but he's got PLENTY on that team to win rings with."

He wrote a great article (where that excerpt is taken from) on Lebron's choice a while ago: http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=simmons/100514&sportCat=nba

Wade and LeBron are both great passers and ball handlers, they need a center cause Bosh is a pussy and won't play a center.

I don't think he's a pussy, lol. when he played for the raptors his position wasn't a center. andrea bargani was the one who played that position.

Why would Cleveland suck this year? Tell me?

when lebron missed the games he played last year, 99% of the time the cleveland loss. even teams a little over 500! LOL

You realize Scottie is one of greatest players to ever play, yeah he's Jordan's sidekick and that's exactly what Bron will be to Wade.

He is a great player but i wouldn't say that lebron is a sidekick to wade. if he was, why does every team want him and why is he the #1 free agent?

He'd still be a man and not a coward that runs from his problems like a kid. And if he was marketing type of guy he would of realized all this bullshit would of ruined his brand, as it is.

a few days before "the decision" he made a twitter acc (over 100k followers in his first day) and a website of his own - which was never done before. if you've been following lebron, every single city has been hyping him up. lots of different cities were making billboards for him, music legends making music for him (just so he can join that team) and a whole lot of different weird things other cities have been trying to do just to get lebron on board. even ESPN has been hyping up his journey of becoming a free agent.

he is definitely doing this to make more ppl HATE/LOVE him because he knows a lot of ppl will be talking about it. he is doing something out of the norm and he expects ppl to make a commotion out of it.

i'm not trying to bash you but i'm just giving you own 2 cents on this.

Statistically, 99% is impossible, while it's true they lost most of games lebron didn't play, he wasn't the only one who didn't play, Mo Williams and Antawn were both sat out. When Mo played without LeBron, they beat Spurs.

You realize Scottie is one of greatest players to ever play, yeah he's Jordan's sidekick and that's exactly what Bron will be to Wade.

Cause he's the #1 free agent, he's the back to back mvp, and he's the best player in the league currently, but it doesnt matter how good he is, doesn't matter how good Scottie was (reached East finals without Jordan), playing with Wade on Wade's team will downgrade him naturally.

He'd still be a man and not a coward that runs from his problems like a kid. And if he was marketing type of guy he would of realized all this bullshit would of ruined his brand, as it is.

He's suppose to have no less followers than he is, ESPN is on his dick all the time, and so is all the media, he's the most recognizable face in NBA, there's no doubt about any of this, you're not a unknown after you win back to back mvps. You're not an unknown after you sign 100 million dollar deal with Nike, and seriously all of this should of been done earlier, we both know that, we're both web guys (twitter and website), Shaq has 3 million followers by now, how long will it take for Bron to catch on? Being the biggest thing in NBA, I'm saying his marketing team is definitely under performing. And I know for a fact he actually ruined his brand with some of this. and that's just from business stand point, talking bout a guy who wants us to think he's bout business, he's no more business than Charles Barkley. And I'm not trying to offend you here, I'm just trying to say he made a mistake here.

Replied in red.
