  • Ensure Ad Policies Compliance : First, make sure your ads fully comply with Facebook's advertising content guidelines. Avoid using words, images, or product/service references that violate policies.
  • Verify your account and payment information : Make sure your account information and payment methods are accurate and up to date. Facebook takes the security and verification of ad accounts very seriously.
  • Use valid personal ad accounts : Avoid using ad accounts without official or unclear affiliation information. Facebook may review and suspend accounts if it detects signs of invalidity.
  • Beware of fraudulent practices : Don't use fraudulent tools, tricks, or other dubious practices in your advertising (e.g., intentionally clicking on your own ads or creating illegitimate campaigns).
  • Check ad quality and relevance : Ads need to be truly relevant and provide value to users. If your ads are too clickbait, have no real value, or are annoying, Facebook may consider restricting your account.
  • Review campaigns if held : If your account is held, review your campaigns and adjust any elements that may have violated policies. Then, submit a request for account reinstatement through Facebook's support page.
  • Don't share your ad account with too many people : If your ad account is shared too much, it can lead to suspension. Make sure that only the necessary people have access.
  • Maintain a reasonable spending history : An ad account with a regular, reasonable spending history and no signs of irregularities is less likely to encounter a hold issue.

Solid checklist! I'd also suggest warming up new ad accounts slowly. rushing into high-speed can trigger holds too.

You can try to add the new payment method or publish a new campaign. When the campaign active, the hold issue will be fixed.

If your campaigns are a bit more assertive or operate in sensitive verticals, here are a few strategic ways to help maintain account health and minimize potential risks:

  • Use a well-aged and trusted account with a good history of activity.
  • Keep your Business Manager structured cleanly, with clear asset separation.
  • Make sure all users have 2FA enabled and follow best practices for access control.

  • Start with lightweight, compliant creatives that "test the waters" of what’s allowed.
  • Use warm-up periods to establish credibility before increasing budget or scale.
  • Avoid sudden spikes in activity — keep your behavior looking consistent and organic.

✍️

  • Frame messaging in a value-driven and benefit-focused way, avoiding exaggerated or absolute claims.
  • Make use of "soft" language to convey your message without triggering filters.
  • Rotate creatives frequently to diversify your footprint and reduce flagging chances.

  • Host landing pages on reputable domains, with fast loading speed and no aggressive pop-ups or misleading content.
  • Check your tracking setup to ensure it’s firing correctly and not tripping compliance warnings.
  • Keep your pixel and event tracking aligned with platform policy.

  • Watch for any signals of restriction (disapprovals, low quality scores, etc.).
  • Adjust strategy based on feedback loops, both from platform response and performance data.
  • Consider segmenting campaigns to isolate risk and keep your core assets safe.

Fix hold is very simple, just 3 steps
- add new tag
- create new ad with budget 1$
- Accept hold

You can try adding another payment method or creating and running a new ad campaign. Once the campaign is live, the hold issue may be resolved.

That's the way for normal running products, but it won't be applicable to warranty advertising.

The article reflects the current situation, although it is less BM scanning, small errors are still numerous and unpredictable. The most important thing is to keep your account clean, spend regularly and do not be subjective with small errors. Are you experiencing similar errors?

Lately, I've been hearing a lot of complaints or concerns about account holds on and offsite, mostly from newer users on the scene. Good considerations, worth forwarding.
