Hello there

I want to get my business started online but I want my setup purchases to trace back to crypto only - for example, I have some suppliers here and want to pay them in Crypto.

I don't want the crypto traceable back to me. i.e. I want to purchase it with cash and no KYC.

What is the least painful way to do this? I want to purchase about €300/US$350

I have seen localcoinswap and hodlhodl

There is nobody near me, so I will end up doing cash in mail.

How can I avoid getting scammed. Any advice.

Thank you

Thanks dude...

I agree.. I was thinking of picking a guy with high volume then doing trades of smaller volumes so there is never an incentive to scam vs burning their rep.

Does localcoinswap do KYC? It wasn't clear on their site.

Nope, the platform itself is KYC-free, but some traders might set a requirement to provide some form of KYC to be able to trade with them, you can usually see the “trading terms” on their profile or right before you open up a trade.

Interesting. Does it do a good job replacing localbitcoins?
Its practically the same platform, a bunch of traders that offer P2P options for both on/off-ramping cryptocurrency. I’ve personally used it a bunch of times, it’s solid. I was a LocalBitcoins user as well, very sad that it closed shop.

Try Bisq for a decentralized peer-to-peer transaction. Sellers are bonded in the event of a scam.

Thanks. Rarely used the older one, but I remember it from way back.

Cash in mail is risk if you are seller , few years ago many sellers got counterfiet with cash in mail

Yea that's possible. I guess you need to trust the reputation system on these exchanges for both buyer and seller.

Apart from that there’s an on platform escrow in place - so if you don’t get what you asked for you can simply dispute the trade. But yes, always pick a trader with enough “completed trades” and good amount of volume.

Use any P2P exchange. Localcoinswap is a good option.

  • Stick to small test trades first.
  • Use encrypted messaging on-platform.
  • Don’t trust offers outside platform or without escrow.
