We are planning to test whether the idea will work or not. What is the best option, if a new channel created today is good, or a 10-year-old channel will be a good option? Also, what are the pros and cons of these?

Both have value, use the old channel if the niche fits, but for a clean test and better algorithm alignment, a new channel is often the smarter move.

10-year-old channel can give you authority faster but might have baggage. A new channel is a clean slate, but it’ll take longer to grow. It depends on whether you need quick results or long-term control.

Old channels allow videos to be indexed in a short time and watched quickly, but this is not all, it is a matter of luck, you will understand when you try it on a few channels.

Old channel is good for CPA and all that but if you are serious about YouTube and want to grow as a brand and for long term growth then start a New Channel ;)

Honestly, it doesn't matter, if your content is good, it will be rewarded, no matter if your channel was created yesterday or in 2008

First comment's pretty bang on. New account for new niche, old account if it hasn't been inactive in too long (would need significant warmup) and is in the relevant niche. They say new accounts are quick to gain traction vs older accounts, but it really depends on activity and relevance.

You can do both, use the new channel to test ideas with a clean brand identity and post a few similar videos on the old channel to see how performance compares.

New channels have more reach.

1) Make a quality content.
2) Ensure the regular consistency.
3) Use the perfect Youtube SEO when uploading.
4) Thumbnail & Video title is the king to turn potential audiences into clicks.
5) Make quality content with consistency for your audiences.

If you can manage all of them then new channels or old channels doesn't any matter.

Starting a new channel with fresh content gives a clean impression to YouTube and can help you grow faster.
