Hello,
I was thinking of starting a proxy platform where users can add credit and choose any available location, with pricing based on hourly or daily rates. All proxies will offer unlimited bandwidth and include both residential and mobile proxies.

Do you think this is a valid idea for execution? Is there a real demand for this type of proxy platform? I’d really appreciate your genuine feedback.

Disclaimer: I’m not selling any service here. I just want your honest opinion!

It's definitely a valid idea — flexible, pay-as-you-go proxy access with selectable geos and unlimited bandwidth is attractive, especially for users who need short-term, burst-heavy sessions (think: scrapers, testers, ad verification, social media automation).

Here’s why it has potential:
  • Hourly/daily pricing is ideal for users who don’t need monthly plans.
  • Location choice adds serious value, especially for localized testing and geo-sensitive tasks.
  • Unlimited bandwidth is a strong selling point — just be ready to handle abuse control.

Real demand? Yes — but the key is execution:
  • Make the dashboard intuitive.
  • Offer fast IP delivery and solid uptime.
  • Consider session control options (sticky vs rotating).
  • Think about anti-abuse systems early on.

If you can combine ease of use with real flexibility, there’s definitely a market waiting. Would recommend researching what platforms like NetNut, PacketStream, and SOAX don’t offer well — and build on that.

Man, what you’re describing is a great concept -- no doubt about it. Billing by time (not by GB) and unlimited bandwidth is definitely an attractive offer.

But the real demand for your project will depend not on the concept itself, but on the specific details.

How clean are the IPs? Is proxy privacy guaranteed? What’s the actual speed going to be? What about uptime? How solid will customer support be? What features / settings / protocols will you offer? And of course, the king of all questions: how much is it gonna cost? :)

Your idea may seem great mate, but building a traffic pool in this situation may be difficult.

Awesome !! can you tell me what kind of abuses on unlimited bandwidth?

The uptime will be good for sure, Pricing and protocols need to be well researched. but for MVP or just to get started what kind of minimal features do you think required?

It is indeed very good idea like i manage ads account right now i am buying proxies for monthly bases and using only max 36-72 hours per month its a real waste of money if there is hourly pricing i would definately going with them.

You need to makesure how you setup proxies you must protect proxy leaking and headers information to sell fully annonomous proxies.

And location it'sthe mist important thing

When you offer unlimited bandwidth, you'll definitely run into some abuse — it's just how it goes. Here are some common things to watch for:

⚠️ What can go wrong:

  • Heavy scraping
Some users will hammer sites with thousands of requests per second. That gets IPs flagged or banned fast — especially on Google, IG, Amazon, etc.
  • Spam or bot activity
People might use your proxies for fake signups, brute force attempts, or automation on restricted platforms — which can lead to abuse reports or problems with upstream providers.
  • Illegal usage
Torrenting, copyright infringement, or accessing shady content — even if you’re not doing it, your IPs are still tied to it.
  • Streaming & large downloads
“Unlimited” sometimes gets interpreted as “I’ll stream all day” — this can drain resources and affect performance for others.
  • Reselling access
Some users might try to resell your IPs without permission, which creates chaos and messes with your control over usage.

✅ How to stay in control:

  • Set soft rate limits
Even if bandwidth is unlimited, limit how many requests per second/IP to prevent abuse.
  • Monitor traffic behavior
Flag unusual patterns — like one user pulling 20GB in an hour or constantly hammering the same site.
  • Stick to session limits
Offer sticky/rotating sessions, but restrict simultaneous use and rotate IPs smartly.
  • Have a Fair Use Policy
Make it clear: unlimited = fair use. No abuse, no illegal activity, no nonsense.

You don’t need to be super strict — just have systems in place so a few bad users don’t ruin the pool for everyone.

Yes, technically, everything is there, but I just want to validate my idea. Thanks for the feedback.

The hourly fee is nice but from my experience many people would still be asking for a free trial for a start.

That's true, but why are you not implementing your service? Is there any downside to this type of billing?

Anyone wants give their suggestions, need some more feedback !!!

Traffic pool? Can you explain a bit?

when replying to 2/3/4 posts, do it link this above.
not 1/2/3/4 posts 1 after the other as its frowned on
just a friendly heads up. your last 8 posts could have been 3.
