Does anyone have experience with influencers?

So I am thinking on reaching out to you tube influencers with a decent amount of subscribers
to promote a software I am developing but I am not sure what to offer them.

I have heard that they want upfront money for a post, comment, video etc but I was thinking more of an affiliate/type
revenue. The software will have a monthly payment so I could offer life time comissions from people converting from their link.

Does anybody have experience dealing with influencers? what kind of deal do you offer?

Incentives for high performance, and clear tracking are essential to making the offer attractive and encouraging influencers

Yeah I was thinking on going full "affiliate program" mode

You could implement a tiered reward system, where influencers unlock higher commission rates.

thats a good idea... so on your experience influencers go for this deals as long as they are rewarding enough?
how much % of the sale would you offer them? since its a software I dont have ongoing costs (maybe hosting and maintenance but those are irrelevant once we are up and running)
