I am thinking of creating an age calculator tool. Can I work in this niche? If I do, can this be a profitable website?

Are there other people doing thus?

If yes, then it means that it is worth trying.

If no, then don't waste your time.

Absolutely, an age calculator tool can be a profitable niche, especially if you optimize it for SEO and promote it through targeted content.

Calculators based site make lot of revenue with ads of you can get traffic there. But you need to work very hard for this because there are already so many sites in this niche which are ranking very well on Google.

Take a look at calculat.net you'll find tons of great ideas there.

like someone else mentioned it's a 2010 strategy so probably not worth your time. maybe if you made a huge calculator site with a lot of niche calculators targeting long tails. however I believe there are a lot of such sites so keyword research is key here to find low comp opportunities and not the oversaturated bmi calculator type keywords that everyone targets

Yes, I am doing research on this, other people are working on it, and there is a very large traffic flow there.

Calculator sites are generally an outdated strategy from 2010, but could potentially work if you build a large site with many niche calculators targeting low-competition long-tail keywords. Avoid oversaturated calculators like BMI and focus on finding underserved niches through thorough keyword research.

It's a great idea, you can easily generate revenue through Adsense.

If you can get traffic to it, then it’s a good idea. You can use AdSense and other ways to make money from it too.

Check the competition first. IS ''EMD'' available for that keyword? EMD works wonder for ''calculator'' type of site.

I see a lot of bloggers transitioning to ''tool'' based sites. This is because ''tools'' based site tend to survive the almighty ''Google Update''. So you're in the right path.

It can still work, but not as a standalone idea anymore. A single age calculator won’t really do much unless you somehow bring something different to the table. The competition is too old and established in that space.

Where I’ve seen better results is when people turn it into a broader “utility” site instead of relying on one tool. For example, combining age calculator with related tools like date difference, work experience, retirement, etc. and targeting long-tail queries around them.

Also, a lot depends on how you plan to get traffic. Pure SEO is harder now unless you go after less competitive keywords or build topical relevance around time/date calculations.

So yeah, profitable? Possible. Easy? Not really. It’s more of a volume + strategy game now rather than just launching a single tool and waiting for traffic.

You can try it if you have reliable methods of promoting the tool.
