Using SERP Clicks to Rank is still Relevant in 2025

Clicks alone won’t boost you anymore. But clicks with context, history, and intent will boost your rankings.

Here’s why it works and what’s actually behind it:

1. Contextual Profiles > Fresh Browsers

Don’t just spin up a blank Puppeteer browser and click your site. Warm the browser up. Build a trail. Visit related websites to those in your niche BEFORE hitting the SERP. Use a script to scrape URLs from popular keyword searches and keep the relevant and high DA ones.

2. History + Cookies Are Signals

Only click with a browser with a unique footprint — cookies, history, login sessions, movement.

3. Fingerprint Isolation

Each browser instance gets its own user-agent, timezone, screen res, WebGL/audio/canvas fingerprint, and proxy. No reused signals or overlaps, all isolated.

4. Mobile 5G Proxies Are King (if you match fingerprint and language)

Mobile proxies are the new meta for avoiding detectetion. Real ASN, clean IP ranges, natural rotation. Bind them to each profile — never rotate mid-session. Ensure you match fingerprint and location to the proxy use browser leaks or something.

5. Smart Human Movements

Real human like movements is what will work. Simulate SERP scrolling, pauses, multiple link clicks, time-on-page, scroll depth, even outbound interaction. Make it look like someone actually searching.

6. SERP Pathing

Not every user hits your page from a clean “keyword + click” search. Some come from long-tail queries, some from brand + intent combos, others from related searches. Simulate that diversity.

7. CTR Alone Isn’t Enough

You can send 1,000 junk clicks and get no movement. Or send 50 believable users with deep context and see actual results. This isn’t about volume anymore, it’s about quality signals and behavior to build trust.

Contextual browser profiles using Puppeteer + 5G proxies + fingerprint spoofing + smart behavior - still works till this day if done right. The software is a pain to setup but pays dividends when its up.

This is what’s working on Bing. And it’s creeping into Google too.

Everything is in point,
But, I believe you missed the point of using a percentage of logged-in Google accounts & Chrome,
Ofc if you're using this for SEO, you want the visits to look more natural & most importantly to be tracked
This is 100% correct, I'm glad you pointed that out. The CTR manipulation software that I created has the ability to create google accounts as the first step in our aging process, a mandatory step if you are sending clicks from Google. I've been targeting Bing the most recently, so this hasn't been required.

Another thing I forgot to point out is to ensure your clicks are coming at regular intervals throughout the day. What I mean by that for example is: instead of surging clicks in randomly, evenly distribute them over one day (e.g 5% intensity of clicks 90% intensity at noon etc.).

There are plenty of additional configurations we can dive into — like simulating repeat visits from warmed profiles, blending them with a steady stream of new users, and more nuanced traffic behaviors. The key is staying ahead of the curve and tailoring strategies that actually align with current SERP dynamics.

Thanks fro sharing.

Have you tested clicks on backlinks and their effect?

If so, feel free to share.

This would be an interesting experiment that I have yet to try. I've mainly been experimenting with Google & Bing CTR Manipulation to boost rankings directly. Bing works extremely well right now, Google works okay.

Really interesting share

How much is your setup costing you per month?
I believe all these 5g proxies are too expensive

Thanks for sharing the tips. I believe this setup and system are required when the war begins between the first 5 top results; you always need CTR manipulation if you are stuck at the 3rd, 4th, or 5th position.

Excellent post @ghostreach, keep them coming!

How would you approach this with a new site? Would you start by searching for the brand? Would you start with 1-5 searches per day etc?

Is traffic generator software is good in 2025 for ranking a site on specific keywords?

Is the software you mention for private use or do you sell licenses for it?

How much did the setup cost? Is it profitable for a new site?

In Google it does nothing, Puppeteer is detected by Google. In my opinion, there is no effective CTR manipulation software on the market today. Puppeteer, selenium are already detected and have stopped working.
